The hotel is on the highway, so it is very loud all the time. There is no soundproofing

Nice room in a unique building.
Affordable for the area, but still a bit pricey
The water wasn’t very hot
They charged $20 extra to check in an hour earlier even though they said the room was ready.
Muffins and coffee in the morning was a nice surprise.
Located in a vibrant neighborhood with a ton of great places to eat. Otherwise, not much to recommend here. The room was average at best (small and plain, with a single tiny window facing a brick wall), but nowhere near worth the exorbitant weekend upcharge. The bathroom door did not close properly, the exhaust fan didn't work at all, and the entire building had an odd organic smell. Parking is outsourced to another company, and the employees there did not inspire confidence. Lots of better places to stay in Philly.
The hotel is very well run. Our room is well appointed and clean with a very nice view. Antonio, the hotel manager, is not only very professional but super nice and helpful as well. I highly recommend having dinner at Panorama, the Italian restaurant located on the hotel’s first floor. The food and service were excellent and we received a discount for being a guest at the hotel.

Disliked: Staff & service
I didn't like the fact that the mirror in the bathroom wasn't clean and the face basin drippings makes a lot of noice after the pipe is turned off as a matter of fact the dripping noise was very loud.
My second visit to this hotel. Location is perfect (parking available!), and within short walking distance to so many place (shops, historical locations, theater, restaurants and bars. Hotel is charmoing, the rooms are large with lovely views. I will come again.
Our room had a balcony with a fantastic view of the river. The room was very clean. Loved the fireplace heater. It added that special charm to the room. The staff was very helpful and kind. A little dissapointed they did not have a hot breakfast, but the coffee they served in the morning was delicious. Overall amazing stay.
I like this Boutique Hotel instead of the typical chain hotels. Was close to walk to a lot of the historical sites. Staff are friendly. The only negative is that it is beside Interstate 95 which is noisy. My room's window/door faced towards I-95. After the second night I didn't to notice the noise as much.

It’s not every night you stay in a 200 year old hotel, but Penn’s View is just that. It’s housed in a former warehouse right next to Penn’s Landing. The property is within walking distance of many of the old town attractions, including the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. There’s a restaurant on site, but not much else. You’re not going to find a pool or a state of the art fitness center in a 200 year old building. The room I had was comfortable and very clean though it had a view of a parking lot. The bathroom was large and modern with a nice marble shower.
