Really enjoyed this property! So close to everything we were interested in! Food, historical landmarks, sightseeing etc. would definitely stay here again! The room, bathroom, linens etc were really clean and updated. There is some wear, stains and tears on the carpet, but didn’t impact us! The staff were possibly the most genuine, kind and helpful staff I’ve experienced and we’re travel sports parents so we travel often and all around the nation.

not a bad choice for the price. very nice staff, but too few workers, especially in restaurant where they seemed to have all sorts of issues. parking next door in garage fro $40 per night is a pretty good deal in the city. Overall, a pretty good hotel.

Pool Closed for No Reason

We booked largely for the pool which they closed when we arrived for the rest of the night because it rained for a few minutes at 5pm (so it was closed for almost 3 hours for some rain though it was sunny and in the 80s the rest of the night). The hotel is run down with dirty corners, stained chairs and curtains, and though we asked twice our room was never cleaned. The room darkening shades were worn all over so light came through.

The overall experience once again was fantastic. I would say that some tweaks should be made to the card system on the elevator, and also (in my opinion) if the pool hours were a little bit earlier like at 8am instead of 10am. Some of us like a early morning swim whenever we can. Otherwise... Another great stay!

Close to History but Has Drawbacks

The hotel looks impressive from the lobby - modern, updated, music playing. But once you hit the elevators that disappears. The rooms are small and dated, only two of the three elevators ran the entire 5 days we were there and both running elevators would randomly have the lights for other floors come on even though no one tapped the button. The pool on the roof is nice - towels are provided. Parking was the worst experience I’ve had at a hotel. The parking garage the hotel uses is not only partially reserved by the local TV station but it’s also a public garage as well. There was no parking available when we arrived. It was coned off and we were handed a piece of paper with alternate locations (despite their own website warning us to not park off site). I had to walk in an unfamiliar city in the middle of the night by myself and leave my kids at the hotel so I could park my car 15 minutes away despite reserving a hotel that supposedly had parking. That said, close walk to Franklin sites, Liberty Bell, US Mint, Franklin Square, and other great sites.

Very disappointed with this stay

Reserved a deluxe king which we had stayed in previously. The room we were given was at the end of a hallway and was about 30% smaller with a small bathroom. Shower did not drain properly so you were standing in a couple of inches of water. Reported issues to front desk who seemed dismissive. Said she would send someone for drain but never did. Blackout shades had holes in them so first light meant first light
