Used to be great, now.....?

We used to love the Rise Uptown, but over the past few years we've seen it really decline in service and hospitality, not to mention cost. First of all, don't accept a room on the 3rd floor, you will most certainly hear load stomping all night from the rooftop bar. Next, the cold water faucet on the sink did not work at all, only hot water (if it worked). Third, the hot water, was non-existent unless you let the shower run for upwards of 10 min flat, and I'm being serious, hopefully you are not in a hurry to get ready after your sleepless night. Lastly, let's discuss the $75/chair fee for your pool side afternoon. Seems they sold off the pool and bar area to an outside vendor who now rents out the chairs/loungers to anyone in town that wants to pay to play. Will definitely find other options next time in town. Very sorry to see this place slowly decline. Maybe it was a bit telling to overhear others complaining in the lobby when I went in.

The decor and overall aesthetics of this property are really phenomenal. They nailed the mid-century modern with an Arizona flare perfectly. The bedding was dreamy and smelled like lavender. The pool was perfect. The bar area was great and the drinks were terrific. Will definitely be back.

I wouldn’t return but hotel is fine.

Stayed six days, my room was cleaned once. Apparently rooms are only cleaned every third day. I was not made aware of this at check in. Room cleanliness was ok/average. Could use a deep clean. Hotel Staff were fine. Food and drinks good. Even though I wouldn’t return to the hotel it was fine. Guess I got what I paid for.

I had higher expectations for my stay at Rise. I had been before with no issues but this time around, I had to a suffer a long night of a hot room without air conditioning. It was so hot I couldn’t sleep the whole night. To top it off, there was no one available to help me that night until the next morning. The next morning I was told a/c folks would be working on a fix but there was no guarantee. I was offered a room but not till 1 or 2 pm. I respectfully messaged the hotel to request a partial refund but as of a week from my return, I still have not even received a response. I never even received my vip upgrades, or the promised bottle of wine even after requesting it twice. To pay so many extra “resort fees” and then to not even be dignified with an email response is incredible. Disappointed. Sigh.

This is a great spot if you want to be in the heart of city life - for me personally, it was a bit too busy of a location. The property itself was nice, clean and vibrant. Pool staff were super kind but again, the music was just too loud for me (and I wasn’t even there on a weekend). Having a coffee shop just steps away was super convenient. There is also a breakfast restaurant nearby (definitely check out Toasted Owl) and a really cool bookstore within walking distance.
