Don't stay if you're wanting to have an adult expe

We booked this stay mainly because it was an adult themed hotel. Retro feel and decor. We checked in and had a couple drinks at the bar. The check in staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms had been remodeled in the past year and were modern and up to date. But we were surprised to find out there was no microwave in our room. We were excited about the pool hot tub area, which was 21 and up after 6pm. Only to find out that the policy had changed in the few weeks prior and now children were allowed all the time in the pool area. I was dismissed when i ask the front desk why there were kids in the pool area after 6. So we were dissatisfied and even mentioned it to the morning staff too. If you're going to change your policies you should take down the sign at the pool and change the information on the website. We will not be staying here again.

If you like reading reviews when looking for a place to stay like I do, go no further because my husband and I loved "the way back" so much. From the cleanliness, comfortable bed, soft pillows and drinks at the bar. The pool and Jacuzzi area is very cute. Anytime we are in this area we will definitely stay there again.

Very nice upscale renovated motel.

High-end nicely renovated motel. Facilities including lobby, bar, gym, rooms, parking, etc. all fully renovated and in really good shape. The hotel condition in general is great and the location is perfect; very walkable and many attactions close by. The only minor issue was the noise. Noise from the main corridor leaks through the gaps in the main door frame and the thin corridor wall. My wife had nice earplugs that worked like a charm and took care of the "problem", without those getting to sleep was going to be a challenge.

Although pet friendly, there is nowhere to take your dog except down the road. The executive suite was very spacious and comfortable. There are no microwaves in the rooms, we needed one to heat our dogs food. Restored to heating in hot water which actually worked ok. The parking lot needs a good cleaning. It was a good 3 day stay at the Wayback

Overall the experience was great. Conveniently, directly across from the Island was nice. Plenty of places around only around 15 minutes from Gatlinburg. Traffic was to be expected. Room was very nice and up to date, bed was comfortable. The bathroom was nice and spacious although it could have been a little cleaner. Parking wasn’t the best and some of the other guests were a little noisy, but it’s to be expected with the type of environment Pigeon Forge is. Definitely recommend!

The Wayback hotel is a fun retro hotel. We stayed in the winter so the pool wasn’t open. There was a hot tub outside though that looked to be a good size. Very clean and quiet even though all of the room entrances are outside.
