Fast check in… Hotel was under remodeling process… Staff call me way prior to my check in and inform me and gave me a good package like free parking etc. Unfortunately the Tv had no signal warning displayed and when I call to report it they told me there was no signal problem and said they were sorry without offering to resolve the issue.

Hotel is under construction for next 3 months

This is not the fault of Holiday Inn but the fault of Hotel's.com who did not let me know before I booked that this hotel was under ACTIVE remodeling so there was no amenities, construction crew and noise along with dust and debris everywhere. If I had known, I would have never booked here while under construction.

There working on the property so its a mess everywhere, inside and out . When we turn the hot water on ,im glad there was hot water ,but the temperature was 3 times hitter then needed ,,if i had been a older person or child I would have severe burns ,the elevators is pretty scary as if you dont know if your gonna come out a live .

Big promises, Poor execution

Unfortunately our stay was very disappointing. I selected this property because they advertise a free hot breakfast in the morning and a pool. Both were closed during our stay. Also the fitness center is closed. When i went to the elevator bank it smells so strongly of curry it gave me a headache and wafted through the hallways. Upon entering the room it was musty. The furniture had big stained spots all over each piece. (Couch,Ottoman,Chair) Old tv and mostly static. The bathroom was clean as possible considering the wallpaper is bubbling and coming off the wall. Many cosmetic defects in showee area as well as water damage. All in all a disappointing stay. Ill never stay at this location again. If looking for a great downtown hotel checkout Hampton Inn by Heinz Museum its great! **Tried to upload photos wouldnt let me**

Worst hotel in Pittsburgh!

The entire stay was absolutely terrible! The front desk staff couldn’t even muster a smile, was very crude and disrespectful, and made us feel like we were an inconvenience. The entire hotel was under construction and most of the facilities that drew us to the hotel were not available and we didn’t find out until we checked in. The entire lobby and our hall just off of the lobby smelled like pot. When we brought it to the attention of the front desk she just came through with air freshener and sprayed it around. Not only did it not eliminate the smell, but it made for an even more putrid odor when mixed with the pot smell. Our room end up smelling like the lobby and hall simply because we opened our door to enter our room. The room itself was filthy too. The floors were not swept, there was garbage in our garage can, and the bathroom wasn’t scrubbed. I saw hair in the bottom of the tub and, when I used my hand to try and wipe it out, I ended up with a white powdery substance that was very gritty covering my entire palm. The clear shelves that held our bath towels had splotches of a white dried on substance. The smoke detectors were removed from the bathroom and bedroom and the silver brackets and holes remained where they once were. The hotel was under construction and the men who were working there would prop the security doors open so they could continue to go in and out without having to bother with a key card which defeats the purpose of a security door to begin with.
