This hotel is in major need of an upgrade. The mattresses were possibly the worst I have encountered at a Marriott. And when I lifted the sheets, yellow and disgusting 😭 Another member of our travel party had to be moved because her mattress was ripped right down the seam. How disgusting. The carpet is musty and the bathroom incredibly small. I do not mind the size of rooms in big cities, I understand having travelled all over. But these rooms are not conducive for 4 people. One of the worst stays I have had at a Marriott. I expect better as a bonvoy traveller. The bonus was the location next to PPG, but that should not prevent you from investing and doing the necessary upgrades to make it a best hotel WITH best location.

The worst Marriott I have stayed in. Our room heat required setting the temperature to 79 degrees to get a comfortable temperature. Shortage of blankets. The shower did not have any railing so for even younger guests it was dangerous. The lunch meal was poor, the breakfast had an extremely cramped self serve area. And the large windows were single glass panes (in this modern building) resulting in a quite chilly time eating. The small retail shop had virtually bare shelves. The hotel is well located near the Pittsburg Penguins arena attracting many guests and in a modern 21 story building. The staff though was friendly but this was not sufficient to make up for the chaotic stay and my now lowered regard for the Marriott chain. P.s. I never before wrote a negative review.
