This place wasn’t the best. There was a sewage smell coming from the sink, and the freezer never worked from day one—no one fixed it until the fifth day, just as we were leaving. The internet was also very unreliable, so don’t count on it. On the positive side, the cleaning staff was friendly, and the top floor near the pool offered a nice view. It’s within walking distance of the beach, 5th Avenue, and several restaurants. However, the roads leading to the property feel a bit rundown. It’s an okay place for adults, but not the best choice for families.

Convenient location, comfortable swimming pool area on the roof, house keeping does good job cleaning the room daily. Beautiful lobby, but rooms need renovation and deep cleaning. Front desk staff is friendly, but needs more training/standards to explain about the property and services. Overall good value for the money.

No coffee in the rooms. We had to take the elevator down four floors every morning to the lobby for a coffee urn that was often empty. One time we were chastised for using too large of coffee mugs! We experienced no running water for two days in total and power outages. We usually were treated with indifference and apathy by the Raphael when we approached him with issues. The kitchenettes were very poorly provisioned with utensils, dishes and cookware. The rooms were nice, the cleaners and others at the front desk were pleasant and the top deck pool was awesome!

Hôtel convenable, près de tout, la plage, restos, bars, transport colectivo. Personnel gentil serviable. Chambres assez grandes, propres ; lits confortables. Loin de la cohue et du bruit de la quinta. Cependant chambre 208 pas d’Internet, manque d’eau chaude par moments, sombre. Les chambres à l’avant ont balcon mais c’est bruyant vu les travaux constants. Mais j’y retournerai quand même.

Location was good, room was spacious and had a big closet area plus seating and a kitchenette. Water temp in the shower was either hot or cold and would change back & forth on its own. Elevator buttons were stuck and the doors took a while to close. Front desk personnel were very nice.

Comfortable, safe, and professional staff. You have a large fridge, 2 electric stove burners with a ventilation hood. The rooftop terrace has great views, and a pool to cool off. Thank you Grand Fifty for an utterly relaxing week of vacation. This goes for every accomodation in Playa, keep all dry food fruits, basically anything ALl food in the fridge. If you finish your coffee, properly rinse the cup and cover. Leave no food crumbs around and sweep after yourselves. Failure to do so will invite insects. Again this is for all kitchen accomodations. The fridge is your best roomate to have around lol.

Lovely kitchenette suite here ... except for extreme shortage of drinking glasses and bowls for breakfast. They did supply more, but acted like wanting a second bowl and more than just two coffee mugs was an unusual request. The room itself and bed were just fine, though, and the rooftop pool was terrific. A block away was a lengthy pedestrian mall that seemed to stretch forever and was great to walk, full of shops and restaurants, and to beaches if you wanted.

The rooms are ok the pillows are rock hard I couldn't sleep with pain and the beds are hard to no view rooms are small no living room sofa only one tv bathroom is small and the front desk people are very rude they don't make you feel welcome, and want to charge for child even know they don't serve breakfast, and I got the 2 bedroom room only my wife and 2 little girls. If you get the same room I got you be getting the room behind the check inn on the first floor.

The property was really good. A step away from 5th avenue and a 10 minute walk to the beach. The building is new, the rooms are nice. The rooftop pool isn’t big but it’s adequate for the size of the building. The service was really good! The only draw back was the room had minimal ustensiles. No knives to cut, only has one glass. Overall we liked the properly and we would recommend it for the price.

This isn't a great or even a good hotel. It's almost just ok. The word I would use to describe the building, management, and service is indifference. On the positive side of things, the roof top pool area is nice and there is ample space in the room. However, the room is not very clean. Also, the bedding and towels are old. Wifi didn't work when we arrived and once we ourselves eventually fixed it, it was super slow. One of the occupants of our room didn't have a pillow for 4 nights because the "hotel was out of pillows" and they just shrugged and said they couldn't do anything. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

Rooms are renovated very new and clean. Although no view through the windows but rooftop and pool with amazing views. Staffs are so helpful especially the front desk staff David & Stephanie. David made great recommendations about local restaurants such as El Fon, we tried and it was amazing! There is one thing I need to mention here is about the hot water in the shower. We had no problem getting hot water during the showering time, but I saw quite a few reviews mentioning the issues. I think it could be the reason that no sign on the faucet to indicate which way to turn to get warm water vs cold water. In Canada the default is turning knob left to get hot and right side to get cold. But in this hotel room I realised that it was totalled opposite - you had to turn to right size(clockwise) to get warm water but turning left(anti-clockwise) to get cold water. Maybe hotel can improve this kind of confusion by labelling the faucet property, just an recommendation. Overall a great stay, this hotel is located at the end of fifth ave, very convenient when you finish shopping on 5th avenue back to a quiet place to rest.

Driving up the area surrounding was run down and made us nervous. A lot of crumbling buildings and construction. Checked in around 7 pm and the manager said- sorry you can't go to the room we have a problem and they are working on the air conditioner. We waited a few hours and then went to the room. We also were told there was no parking and then the man behind us came and asked where to park I asked why he could get a spot and we couldnt and then the hotel guy changed and told us they did have parking. Was very unpleasant check in. Place was decently quiet at night and you can hear birds when you wake. Sadly the air conditioner only worked for 2 nights and we had a sweltering next 2 nights. Not ideal with the heat and humidity. Pool was ok. They make you wear a super annoying arm band.
