Overall, it was a good property with pretty and peaceful views, but they need to put some effort to the food. There is lack of varieties at the buffet, plus the quality and the taste of food. We have been to many all inclusive before and this is by far our worst experience with the food. The restaurants food wasn’t that great either, they are missing the taste.

The resort was quite nice and the staff were friendly. They don’t make it clear that there are different clubs and levels to stay at before booking. If you are not a part of their “vacation club” they will pester you to go to a timeshare presentation. They have staff stationed at the entrances to the room buildings so that their staff can try and get you to go to the presentation each time you come or go from your room. Food is good and restaurants are nice! Nightly entertainment was great! The pools are great and the beach is really nice. Snorkeling gear is available too and there are lots of fish in the lagoon

Beautiful resort. Food for the most part was not bad. Drinks were awesome. Slight pressure from staff to join their travel club. Convenience to xcaret parks was really nice. The wild life was also really cool to see.

The Occidental Xcaret was a beautiful natural resort. We loved the animals and the resort grounds were great. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Food was good overall. The beach was beautiful and the pools always had lots of room to set up for the day. We would return to this resort. Great for families.

What I really like about the hotel is that staff is really nice and how clean the hotel looked. However a let down was that food provided at the hotel wasn’t the best the time that we got food, the majority of the time it was cold

Lovely stay
