The front desk clerk at reception really set the (bad) tone for the stay. All the details below, but we felt pretty insulted by staff to the point that we would not recommend this hotel. Rooms are dated but clean. It has a pool facing the water and it is perfectly nice and very, very cold; hot tub is nice too (but it doesn't have jets, fyi). They have happy hour most, if not all, days of the week. Hot breakfast was simple yet filling; breakfast staff were nice and efficient. Short walk by the water to German restaurant Brotzeit Lokal, Zocalo Cafe, and Lumpia Company. Our experience with front desk clerk at Executive Inn & Suites Embarcadero Cove: First he tried to upsell us on a waterfront room, even going as far as saying we could "pay for it" with our deposit. Like, sir, what? I have been offered upgrades before, but this was degrading. Yuck. Then when we got to the room, we noticed our bed was not a king. We have a king at home so we know what size they are supposed to be. We measured it and it was 65 inches wide. A king should be 80 inches wide. So we went down to request the king we paid for, and that same clerk told us that "he didn't know the difference" but that that was a king-sized bed. Bed size is not an opinion; it is standard. So if Executive Inn & Suites Embarcadero Cove charges for a king-sized bed, it should be 80 inches. And if it is not, as it wasn't, then they are cheating their customers.

Parking was available. AC worked, but was very loud. Room was clean. Staff was okay. Pillow was very squishy, and uncomfortable to sleep with since It hard to keep your head in one place with squish pillow.

The hotel seemed chaotic as I witnessed gambling and craps being played. There was also an abnormal amount of weed smoking throughout. Teenagers were running around playing door knock ditch. Overall, would not stay here again. Room also smelled stale and light was coming from all around the door.

Great staff and room service. Breakfast was not great. Bar was awesome. There is no EV charging station on site and valet parking is mandatory not optional at an extra $35/ night, plus tips.

I love this place. The luggage trolleys make a TON of noise, 24/7 as they run the halls, and there was construction, without disclosure, so it was not amazing as usual, but it's still a first class experience.

Front of house staff were great, however cleaners were not so great. They did not repleanish coffee or cups which was annoying. Also left a dirty rag on the desk.
