After really looking forward to our stay, I left a little deflated unfortunately. It sounds very grand and certainly looked it as we arrived but it was terribly let down by the dining experience. Quite limited menu options, the food was only just 'Ok' and the atmosphere was poor. We were 3 couples set away from the rest of the diners and it was embarrassingly quiet. Breakfast was also very disappointing and I left most of it. It promised much more than it delivered sadly. Our room was great but there the greatness ended.
Fantastic stay - lovely room and location .
Food and service in bar and restaurant all excellent . Lovely team and every single one helpful and friendly . Ate in most nights and food excellent especially the cheesecake !!
Can’t fault anything !
Brilliant hotel staff friendly nice location
Bar staff did forget your order on a couple of occasions
And double shower can’t cope with amount of water and doesn’t drain way and spills over tray on to bathroom floor
Stayed in the Hall itself with a Mountain View room with a super comfy four poster bed. Great quiet location and lovely accommodation. Polite welcoming staff served us throughout our stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel.
The hotel did everything to cater for outdoor eating and drinking to indoor restaurant with comfy seating to relax in. Rooms came equipped with everything you may need and were spotless. All staff were friendly and went out of their way to cater to my celiac food requirement. Nothing was too much trouble. Ideally located in beautiful surroundings with easy access to routes taking you to Snowdon Railway location and other tourist attractions. We will definitely be returning but for a longer stay.
Well presented and excellent position. A quirky alternative for our golf trip accommodation much better than the standard hotel chains. Only criticism was the early bar closing but that seems indigenous to Wales 😁
Lovely quiet location and Victorian hotel. Very well maintained on the whole. Restaurant very good food and nice ambiance but could do with changing the evening menu as it didn’t change the three consecutive nights we ate there.
This is a hidden gem of a place so close to Eryri and was very pleased overall….. the staff are very welcoming and always smiling and can’t do enough for you.
Highly recommended!
Very well finished and spacious. It is on 3 floors so bedrooms upstairs toilet on ground floor with lounge and huge kitchen diner on the basement. Hot tub fabulous and large garden with river behind. It was near the main road but quiet at night. The bed was not very comfortable however and very low for us. Staff were excellent.
