Great location, great room

Great location, within walking distance of restaurants, bars, shopping and bakeries. Nice walking trail just down the road with great views. Hotel is starting some renovations, so certain floors are closed off. Stairwell is odd, either dumps you out on the street or on the under construction 2nd floor. Elevator is TIRED and in need of a remodel. Takes forever to go 5 floors, so there's no good options for getting between the lobby and upper floors. Room was great - we had an ocean view and a large comfortable bed. Shower had good pressure too!

A fine hotel to explore Portland; in walking distance of about everything. It's a new building, but they made an effort to decorate it with a nautical theme. The a-la-carte breakfast however it not the best - fortunately there are several other options close by.

A very nice property located conveniently close and walkable to the Old Port district. Rooms were exceptionally clean and well appointed. Staff was helpful and courteous. On site restaurant is convenient although there are many great restaurants within walking distance. On site parking available for a daily fee. Pleased with hotel and I wouldn’t think twice about returning.

Upgrade the toilet paper and bath towels

The Hilton Garden Inn in Portland offers an amazing location near the waterfront and a short walk to both excellent restaurants and unique boutiques. Friendly staff, nice room - but cheap toilet paper and stretchy bath towels.

Nice getaway

It was perfect for a quick getaway mid week. Very close to restaurants and shops so we could walk . The room was comfortable and very clean. The waterfront views from the room of Casco bay were stunning. The staff were super kind. The he pool and exercise room were small but weren’t crowded.

Overall, it was a decent stay. Food was great, hotel was clean and I liked their conscious effort to reduce their carbon footprint! One female front desk member was completely uninterested in being there and it SHOWED. Pool and jacuzzi are both tiny. It would be a benefit to have a 2-hour period per evening where kids aren’t allowed in the pool area. We couldn’t enjoy the pool all weekend. No stairs available, had to take a pretty slow elevator. $40 valet parking.
