Excellent property, great service, staff are excellent, great location. We were at the hotel during the power outage in Portugal in April 2025 and were so impressed that they had a back up power generator so we were able to have power, food, drinks, etc where most hotels in the city didn’t even have the running water. Hotel restaurant is excellent (we didn’t have breakfast buffet but had a few meals during the blackout). We were upgraded to the room with a patio which was also very nice.

This is a wonderful property, and I would definitely stay here again. The staff went out of their way for us several times. It's very clean, quiet, and the rooms are comfortable.

I liked the staff, they were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent,lots of healthy options. What I did not like was the terrible smell coming out from the bathroom drains. It was not bearable. We were very disappointed and we couldn’t wait to end our 3 nights stay and leave. I don’t think it was healthy either.

Hotel was lovely, very clean and the staff were very friendly and exceptionally helpful for recommendations and getting our bearings. We didn’t eat in the hotel but did use the bar for a nightcap or two.

The staffs are ver helpfull and friendly. Mateus and Mariana always ready to help us. A lot of good restaurants around. Not far from the bolhao market and walking distance to the ribiera area. Hotel room is nice very clean and modern. Bathroom also nice, with rain shower, and clean.the property looks new. I highly recommend this property if you go to porto. We enjoyed our stay at Catalonia Porto

Lovely room in a well-appointed hotel. We appreciated the spacious room, 24-hour gym, on-site bar (with bourbon!), in-room safe, bathtub (!), and robes and slippers. The refrigerator was useful once we removed the pre-stocked beverages. There's a spa for which an hour daily was included, and while we enjoyed the sauna, we were surprised that the jetted tub was not heated. Speaking of heat, we found it necessary to turn ours off at night because it was so noisy. Staff were professional, friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel with very nice family rooms at a very good location. Very nice breakfast and a good spa. Reception and bar area is also very comfortable and nicely decorated Daily cleaning in the rooms could have been better and great & kind service at all sites except for evening bar area which could have been more kind.

Helpful and possibly saved our lives

Everyone was exceptionally kind and helpful. The desk staff helped the bolt driver to find us and even stopped a driver that pretended to be a bolt/ uber driver from trying to get us into his car.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. Location was excellent; great food right down the street, walking distance to many amenities and attractions, but far enough away where it was very quiet in the evening. I would say the terrace or balcony they advertised was pretty meh, think it was changed from the pictures online -- no view, just concrete barrier. Little disappointing; even if it's just looking at the street and buildings, I enjoy sipping my coffee with a view. Also, don't think this is exclusive to this location, more of a Portuguese thing, but bring your own wash cloth or body scrubby. Overall, still excellent, would gladly stay at this location again if I ever hopefully make it back to Porto

The hotel was located in an excellent location. We did not use the hotel restaurant as we dined out every night. Staff on reception were helpful and knowledgable. We had unseasonbly warm weather and it would have been great if the outdoor pool was still open. Indoor pool in spa area was good but quite small.

Modern and quite cozy hotel, room is clean. A little disappointed that we didn't get any Expedia gold upgrade, and were assigned a room on the lowest floor facing the road for 3 nights stay, luckily the sound-proofing was ok and the road wasn't that busy at night. 1 bottle of water was provided only on first night.
