Provincial hotel for families with unruly children

The setting of the hotel is beautiful; however, the hotel is not particularly equipped to deal with international guests. My experience in August was anything but relaxing with screaming Italian children at the beach, unattended and unsupervised by their parents. The restaurant serves the same thing every day (i.e., pasta dishes), and the food is just average. I left two days earlier than scheduled. The hotel pricing for everything (i.e., for accommodations, food, etc.) does not equate with the value that you receive. This hotel is likely best equipped to handle less experienced local travelers in the immediate region (who don't know what "real travel" can be like).

Nice location, nice beach, but a horrible hotel

1- no security at all ( we came late at night there was no one at all and all the lights were off, we had a hard time till we reached the room) anyone can access the rooms and the hotel at night. 2- dirty rooms ( the bed was full of sand from the beach when we came, am not even sure that they changed or cleaned the bed sheets before we came) also the floor was dirty and full of sand 3- the resturant was closed for the two days i stayed in

A private and romatic hidden gem

When we drove up to the hotel we noticed a small group of people gathered at a look out point on the side of the road, what they were looking at was a spectacular hidden cove below. We then realized that was Eco del Mare. We had a wonderful stay here, the location and service is incredible. The rooms are beachfront and the dramatic views of the cliffs falling into sea are spectacular. We spent most of our time on the beach laying on large pillows while being served drinks. This is a perfect place for couples. We are not normally beach bums but to leave the property or even close the curtains in your room seems like a crime. Very attentive and kind staff, all though there was a little language barrier our kind server always did his best to explain the menu. Speaking of the menu, the chef is incredible, we had the best meals of our trip here. Fresh seafood, amazing pasta and deserts to die for. If you want to feel like you are staying at a private beachfront villa with a full staff and personal chef this is the right place for you! We did visit in April while only two other couples were staying and were often alone on the beach so maybe in the summer it is a bit more crowded, but I would have enjoyed it just as much! This is a hidden gem on the italian riviera! Well worth the money.

A marvellous place! Living ON the beach! What a view from the room!
