The property was lovely but in the middle renovations which we were not warned of when booking. We were informed on arrival that there is a £10 charge per person £20 on weekends for use of spa including the swimming pool which was very small and steam room, we are used to paying for treatments but swimming and sauna are usually included in our initial charge, it was not clear on booking that this is how it works. Breakfast was ok but not great with poor selection on both buffet and cooked breakfasts.

The hotel was obviously having renovations done so a lot of building work going on. The staff were excellent and efficient. The only 2 issues were the room temperature was very warm especially when trying to get to sleep and no air-con. Also breakfast didn’t begin until 8.00 which is fairly late for most hotels. Apart from that a very nice hotel with fantastic views of the lake.

Good hotel - shame Spa facilities come at a cost

Very nice hotel, quite a remote location - no buses pass here so bear that in mind. Didn't dine in, so can't comment on that, bar area was okay, looks nice, beer selection quite poor though. Nice terrace area overlooking the lake, lot of building work, diggers and general mess spoilt this view a bit though. Spa area was lovely, decent sized pool, two indoor hot tubs and two outdoor on a terrace overlooking a similar view. Such a shame though that this is charged as £10pp per 24 hours for guests - not sure I really agreed with that.

Amazing views. Had to pay extra for the Spa including use of the pool which was a bit of a shame. Service was great and staff were friendly. Shower gel provided was tiny for a couple two days, so had to go buy some. Could have done with some slippers or flip flops to wear to the spa. Breakfast is good, could do with sorting their coffee machine before 8am. Would go again if cheaper.

The hotel itself is great, with the dining area being beautiful & view great. You are paying for the view. The room was nice but for some unknown reason they put heating on at the height of summer. The window only opens less then a crack. Whist we did get provided with a fan the room was still red hot & as a result i was far too hot all night to sleep. We personally wouldn't stay again for that reason

At first the hotel was beautiful on the inside and gave a 5* feel in the lobby, the rooms were nice, with a big bed which was a plus. The hidden extras for the spa were disappointijg considering we were there for 20mins as it was thundering and lightening and were unable to make great use of them, without it being a health and safety hazard, but I'd already booked through Expedia, so I could hardly not use it, so I paid the extra. It was concerning that there was also a great electric wire just hanging out of the wall on the decking, which I was suprised to find when I searching for the light switch for the outside decking to which there wasn't one. The next day we were given the options to have a vegan breakfast and when we asked what it was the waitress said tofu replaces the egg, so we chose that option, only to find the breakfast came without tofu or egg, we later was told sorry they have no Tofu, perhaps don't offer this if you don't have it, or at least go back to the customer and let them know so I can opt for an alternative. Overall not the worst stay
