Refused first room as it smelt (not the sulphur smell that you sometimes find) but in the living area. Quickly was given a second room that was large spacious and clean. Shower wasn’t great, did not go that hot and would suddenly go cold. No front screen, just one to the side, toilet and all the floor in front of the toilet gets soaked - a squeegee would have helped to not have a soaking bathroom floor after using the shower. Kettle but no cups etc to make a hot drink, TV didn’t work (turned on but not able to get anything on the screen) Breakfast was good. Location was good if you want to be near but not right in the city. Staff were all friendly and pleasant. Was OK for one night.

The staffs were amazing starting with a wonderful check-in experience. Parking for cars is sizeable and convenient. The offered free breakfast which included hot coffee...room was also convenient. The only things i would want improved upon is the addition of a small fridge in the family room and maybe a microwave. Besides these, Hotel 201 is indeed one of Reykjavik's best kept secret! It's all you want and you sure can't go wrong with it.

The hotel is clean and tidy. Rooms are adequate but quite basic - there is a kettle on the room but no tea or coffee. Continental breakfast is fine and as expected. Reasonable selection of dining options in the local area and shopping centre just down the road.

Good value, clean and comfy

Clean, comfortable, cozy room, and friendly staff. Ample parking and continental breakfast wasn't amazing but nice to have. Close to Costco and other grocery stores. A good option a little outside downtown Reykjavik if you rent a car.

Not the cleanest hotel i’ve been to but it was good enough. Keep in mind that it seems many tour companies visit this hotel, there were loads of teenage kids there with a tour groups. The fitness room is interesting to say the least, but you can make do with the equipment supplied. Also, make sure you get there first thing for the breakfast as with all the tours staying there, the later in the morning you go the more limited the options are.

The front desk personnel was friendly and respectful. The problem we encountered was that the room was very cold and the heater was not working. The hotel was full so we were unable to get a different room with a working heater. Unfortunately we didn't have a choice but to sleep with a lot of clothes on. My hisband and I were offered one drink each for our troubles. That didn't help much. Not a memorable stay. Again, the staff is courteous.

Convenient and excellent customer service.

We thought it convenient to stay in a place that was relatively close to Sky Lagoon and Airport. This seemed to fit the bill and surpassed expectations as there are also shopping malls within a 5 minute drive.
