I didn’t like that the pool was duty, very duty. The receptionist was kind. There was rules I wasn’t aware such as $30 pet fee and $100 holding on my credit card for “security deposit.”

I specifically booked this hotel through Expedia, because there was the option of a room with a kitchenette. We wanted a place with a full sized refrigerator as we were going to be there for 4 nights and we expected to have leftovers to keep refrigerated and possibly eat. Upon arriving to check in, I was told that the room with a kitchenette wasn't available for some reason that the evening clerk couldn't explain. He attributed the problem to using a "3rd party" to book the room, saying that sometimes the listings by 3rd parties aren't accurate. He said the room wasn't occupied, but it was "blocked". He told me that we could speak with the manager the next day & possibly be able to move to a room with a kitchen. Unfortunately, our plans meant that we would be gone most of the next day. Ultimately, we stayed in the room we were given as we'd already be settled in. The rest of the experience was good other than noise in the hallway which isn't the hotel's fault. There isn't much in the way of convenient food options. Also, this is an area where a lot of the restaurants are closed on Tuesdays, which is the day we arrived. Again, not a problem with the hotel, just the location.

The Best Western Plus Glen Allen Inn was conveniently located as a pit stop on my way to richmond. The hotel was clean, parking was very easy. We had an issue with the lock on our initial room and management corrected it immediately. The included breakfast was a plus with a good variety.

Good rate; quick check-in; clean, comfortable room; great breakfast; very convenient to Botanical Gardens. Minor quibbles: noisy refrigerator and other random room sounds may disturb light sleepers. Shower drain was slow.
