Lovely B/b very friendly. Easy short walk into centre of York. Only one thing if you are a coeliac make sure the staff are aware at breakfast. Would stay again.

Convenient guest house in a quiet location. Walking distance from the train station and the centre of York. Comfortable room with everything you need, but the decor was looking a bit tired and could do with a bit of a spruce. The breakfast was perfect and setsnyou up for the day.

Great base

What a great base for a visit to York. Out of the hustle and bustle but close enough to enjoy the walk into town. The staff were very polite and professional and our room was spotless and very quiet(room 10) Thankyou for making our long weekend that much better

Relaxing stay in York

It was a short walk from the train station and we were able to walk along the river and to the downtown. Breakfast was excellent and it was very quiet.

Friendly hotel adjacent to station.

Nice, clean guest house, very close walk from the station. Enjoyed the breakfast, and the staff were welcoming. Only a couple of issues. First, the lighting is too gloomy. A few more lumens would have made the room appear brighter. Second, my room was at the front of the house, and I was awakened at 3am by noisy works going on at the railway opposite. To be fair, the weather was really warm and I had left the windows opened. When i shut them, the double glazing helped suppress the noise.

Everything is brilliant about St. Mary's!

Everything is brilliant about St. Mary's Guest House in York! Location is perfect - just 10 min stroll along the river front into the centre. Beds very comfy. Breakfast pentiful, cooked to order and delicious. Manager, Caroline, is wonderful. Parking inexpensive and easy. We would highly recommend this for a city break.
