We were supposed to stay here for one night ended up booking two instead! Such a great hotel in an amazing area with great staff, one downside is the rooms are small and can hear things going on in the hallway but other than that completely recommend booking here!! They also give you a complimentary QR code to access the two elevators in the city which was wonderful!! Def coming back
My wife and i thoroughly enjoyed the Argentina Hotel. The cinque Terre can be daunting with all the levels, and steps, and inclines. The Hotel is located close to an elevator which is, in turn, close to another elevator. So with minimal effort you can go to the train station which was a huge unheralded benefit of the stay. The breakfast staff was cheerful and accomodating. The room's balcony was a welcome spot to rest the feet after a day of train hopping and walking. Bravo hotel Argentina !
Make sure not to try and walk to the property with baggage from the train station. Call a taxi (there are 3 in the village) as it’s a long way uphill to walk to. Other than that, loved the property, view and really nice staff!
This hotel is at the very top of Riomaggiore. The location is beautiful and quiet. BUT, it is not easy to get to the location if you have luggage and come from the train. Either walk up many, many stairs or walk on the main road. Only one set of elevators works and requires a tourist payment to ride. If staying in the apartment annex, be advised that there is NO air conditioning. The apartment is insufferably hot even with all doors and windows open and two fans. There is a family living above the apartment and they stomp around late into the night. They also smoke cigarettes which drifts into the bedrooms. While Riomaggiore seems friendly and quaint, sleeping with all the doors and windows open felt uncomfortable. There is no safe to store valuables. The breakfast was

Liked: Staff & service
Good staff, reception was very helpful with ch checking.
No elevator. Difficult to carry bags up to the rooms. Breakfast was well below par. No restaurants near by. Have to walk down very steep road and climb back up to access any cafes, restaurants , shops , train station etc.
Wonderful reasonably priced hotel in the Cinque Terre region. Great directions provided to get to the hotel from the train station, but keep in mind that the 400 m distance also include a 100 m gain in elevation. If they are operating there are two elevators that can be used to lessen the climb. However, one was being reconstructed during our stay and the other one was out of service at times, so don't count on them. Our room was in the annex building, which is a bit way from the main hotel, and it came with a private outside seating area, which was terrific after a day of exploration.
The breakfast served is terrific and not to be missed.
The hotel was nice, and everything was very clean. The view outside is gorgeous. Air conditioning was great. For a small family this is a good hotel, as there is a big street with restaurants that is at walking distance. The only negative about this hotel is that there was no elevator, so if you have bags you must carry them up the stairs. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.
Everything about the apartment is excellent and perfect. However, it is in a SUPER busy area! Maybe that's what you're looking for! Coffee across the street, groceries the next block, the bridge to all the sites just minutes away. And again, the apartment is excellent and perfect.
Basic room, poor breakfast. too many stairs to climb to reach the hotel.

Liked: Property conditions & facilities
Disliked: Cleanliness
Check in was easy and convenient. The sheets and towels had stains when we got there, they smelled clean and it looked like the stains were old and weren’t able to be properly washed out, so it was a bit unsettling, but we were able to deal with it for the 2 nights. It was in a nice area, with great views but you’d have to walk up a bunch of steps to get to it when the elevator is broken, so that is something to consider. The breakfast was good, and had a few good pastries and cakes. Overall, it was a good stay.
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Villa Argentina. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The directions provided prior to our arrival were helpful and guided us to two elevators. The room had an immaculate view of Riomaggiore and a small balcony! The air conditioning worked well and kept the room cool. The shower was on the smaller side for my husband, who is very tall (6’4”). We would definitely stay here again—we only wish we had stayed longer!
