This was a good value in a non-tourist neighborhood. However, the B&B owner, and hotels.com, should have both emphasized that arrangements to receive the room key MUST be made in advance, or a cell-phone which works in Rome must be available to the guests. To our dismay, we spent approximately 1/2 hour in the street, outside the B&B, soliciting the help of passersby who had a working cell-phone. Our first attempt to obtain the key from the B&B owner, Michele, was made in this way, and Michele said simply that the B&B was fully booked, and then hung up. It was only after a second telephone contact was made, by a second passerby who was able to speak at length with Michele's assistant, that the key was finally brought to us.
