Love the history. But odd smell in our bathroom and nothing could be done about it. Too short of a stay to worry too much about it. A little pricey for such an issue. But staff were friendly.

This is a great 3-stars hotel, in the sense you have everything you need at a very adequate and good level. You go to Rome to see the city, not to spend time in the hotel, thus it does not make sense to invest in the hotel by booking an expensive, luxurious one, and that is where this hotel shines. It is comfy enough, very clean (with daily cleaning), good enough breakfast, and AWESOME staff. Special thanks to Anke who helped us to create our itinerary every morning!

Excellent hotel near the Termini station but also convenient for all central Rome. Safe area, very good breakfast on the top floor in a room with a cool terrace with a view and lemon trees. Very nice and helpful staff. Overall highly recommended and would stay again if back in Rome.

Booked for 5 nights for two adults with double beds saying 3 sleeps so went with 18 year and 14 year kid but unfortunately they didn’t let 3 person at checkin when we reached at 3:am in morning. So have to let kids to checkin and i have to roam on streets in morning untill i found my space nearby to stay in guest house.

Great hotel

Had 4 nights at Hotel Columbia. Staff were fabulous, both before and during our stay when they provided lots of useful information e.g., about getting to/from the airport, what train to catch, price compared to taxi etc to help us get the most from our trip to Rome. They were always friendly, polite and accommodating. Breakfast was great too and our bed was extremely comfortable. We weren't expecting our room to be serviced everyday so that was an unexpected surprise. Location is great, 5 min walk to Termini plus very close to a Metro station with a direct route to the Vatican City.

Staff were very warm and professional. While the rooms were simple, they were clean and functional. However, guests should be aware that the biscuits provided in the room come at an extra charge. There was no clear signage (at least in the two rooms we stayed in), and we were unexpectedly charged €5 per room at checkout. This left us feeling a bit misled, which was a disappointing end to an otherwise good stay.

Very warm welcoming staff who made sure I was comfortable for my week stay! They provided me with breakfast before the Rome Marathon and before I departed for my early morning flight! Lovely week at the Columbia.

Spent a week at the Columbia Hotel. Had 2 superior rooms. Everybody at the Columbia were very helpful- every need was seen to. Gluten intolerance was not a problem for breakfast. Rooms were of a very good size and cleaned to a high standard every day. Special mention to Anke on the front desk who was really helpful with metro and buses!

Extremely convenient for the mainline station; both Metro lines and the open-top buses. Hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was amazing and we were offered alternative milks for my husband who does not drink dairy or soya.

This hotel is the perfect stay for a solo traveler. Its location is close to transit and Termini Station, and there are plenty of good places to eat only a few steps away. The property was clean, well maintained and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I look forward to visiting again.

The hotel is very close to the train station which was perfect for us. The roof terrace was a wonderful space to have a drink in the evening or to enjoy the excellent (included) breakfast buffet. There are some great restaurants in the area. We found it walkable to the major sites although most wew closed for Jubilee refurbishment when we were there. A great, well-run little hotel!
