Lovely stay

Had a lovely stay. Some parts of the hotel looked like they could do with a refresh or update. Good room. Bathroom dated. All staff were fantastic. All friendly and attentive. Food was good.

Highly recommend hotel and town

Wonderful stay, staff were so friendly and helpful, we were made to feel really welcome. Breakfasts and evening meal were amazing, service was quick, really impressed. Will definitely return, first time to Ross on Wye, beautiful town.

Brilliant retreat

Fantastic stay. Beautiful location we felt like lords of the manor. A real rustic first class hotel. Felt like we were living in upper class 1923. Food was also outstanding Jacob cooked a steak that was better than miller and carter. We will return excellent views from room 25.

I was really impressed with the Royal. Every member of staff was cheerful friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant exceeded my expectations and the whole atmosphere of the place was calm and well managed.. Would definitely recommend!

Just a great place to eat drink and sleep credit to all at royal staff so good from booking in bar staff and the wonderful lady at breakfast. I travel the uk on bussiness and this is one of the best places to stay breakfast is the best i have had for a while Well done keep it up

Slept well

We had to change our booking - a long story but Sally at front desk was helpful in making sure everything was sorted. It's a shame we had to check out a day earlier than planned as our first night there was excellent - I slept brilliantly. If they could offer more dog friendly rooms, we could have stayed a second night.

Lovely food on site. Amazing views ,ideally.place for river walk or shops. Feels like a lovely step back in time - Still have keys for the doors. Quaint but with all the facilities needed for a very relaxing break.

Great room, clean and tidy

We stayed in room 30, really nice room on the second floor. It was very spacious and had everything we needed. The only thing that let it down was the bed. Every time you moved, it creaked quite loud. Unfortunately we had little sleep because of it which affected our plans for the next day
