We think your chef and kitchen staff are brilliant. We had 4 delicious evening meals while we stayed. The menu was varied and we enjoyed each dish that we tried and it had all been freshly cooked for us. Our room was spacious, comfortable and had all we needed. Our breakfasts were delicious too, with plenty of choice. All superb!

It was the most uncomfortable bed I/ we have ever slept in. We stayed here due to not having any water supply at our house, but having got about 2 hour’s sleep from the bed being like a rock hard board and the pillows being like concrete we decided at 4.30am to go home! Never known anything like it. To add insult to injury the lady on reception made me feel like I was insane when I told her how awful it had been.

The room was immaculate, the staff friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent, hot on arrival where appropriate. My little dog was welcomed and accommodated so I didn't need to put her in the car in order to eat. The area is lovely. The only problem is limited parking - I arrived after an horrendous 8 hour journey to be told they had 2 functions going on so I would have to park on the road and walk back (presumably with my luggage!) I managed to find a corner but they need to bear in mind that parking should be reserved for hotel guests not one off function people. That did spoil my arrival but, other than that, everything was fine.

Good parking, close to town. A great breakfast in lovely restaurant. Our rooms was well kitted out and very cosy. Our bed was a little soft for us, but still got a good sleep. Staff were superb throughout our stay and we will definitely be going back.

From start to finish it was bad. Hotel is “dog friendly” booked a superior room and a junior suite. Was told that dogs can only stay in standard rooms however we could stay in the superior room but not the suite….which is weird because if you can change the rules for one room, why not the other. Bed in the room was completely passed its best. Both myself and my wife found the bed incredibly hard and sunken and the pillows like bricks. Asked for more pillows but was told none were available. On Sunday the restaurant serves brunch until 1145 but guests must finish breakfast by 10, as the kitchen was closing. Not sure how it could close whilst offering the same dishes until 1145. After such a disappointment we just wanted to leave. The trainee assistant manager was very proactive in allowing us to checkout early without charge for second night. Hotels.com promised to speak to the manager when she started at 3pm local time but made no attempt to do so, which as a platinum member was very disappointing but it’s not the first time that they have pulled this stunt. So, still waiting for a partial refund for the first night. I have stayed at this hotel many times and worn out beds is not acceptable and having no spare pillows is just a poor excuse

Lovely hotel. Easy parking. Nice room (slightly small), with lovely bathroom and toiletries. Delicious breakfast. Had dinner (steak and starters) and red wine- all well cooked and very good value for money! Staff very friendly.
