The Grand Hotel is abundant in everything 😍 great location, a 5-10 mins walk to ferry port (usually amalfi coast boats i.e. Travelmar). Centrally located to everything such as beach & town centre. Lovely walk to Lungomare Promenade!

It’s NOT a 4 star hotel. Expedia lists access to a swimming pool (paying a fee) as an amenity and it does NOT have a swimming pool. The rooms are very outdated and not well maintained, our bathroom sink was cracked. The beds are very uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

We had one night between train journeys so it is convenient for the station. It could be a great hotel but the decor is tired and harsh. The staff however were very kind and we had a good breakfast before we departed.

PROS: the location was a great! Restaurants, shopping, beaches and train station all within walking distance. We reserved a room with a balcony facing the sea. We even had 2 washrooms! The room itself did not disappoint. CONS: When we arrived to our room, we noticed several little bugs flying around.. and there were not flies. We informed the dront desk of this iasue and assured us it would be taken care

Reception Staff need to be more welcoming, friendly, helpful and informative.. room was ok for short stay, bed comfy, bathroom good facilities but air conditioning dirty and noisy and couldn’t cool the room booked 2 rooms and one couple who were elderly in our group and with disabilities were put 3 floors up away from us and at end of very long corridor on 4th floor., no consideration for their convenience and no luggage assistance .. tried to reserve a taxi with reception when leaving .. returned at the designated time to find out the taxi firm would not accept the reservation and we were not told this., had to walk to train station and nearly missed the train as taxi did not show..hotel advertised as having a restaurant which was necessary for some of our travellers for convenience but we were told dining room closed when we went to eat and .. staff not helpful in assistance with other dining options in local area. Ok to for short stay but not customer focused.

I am enjoying my stay at your hotel and in Salerno. Italian people are very kind to me as a tourist. There is NO discrimination. Negative news about Italian people towatds tourists - I DISAGREE.
