Parking easy, but had to pay an additional £14. Issues with accessing room as cards wouldn’t work- twice. Put into a new room, top bunk bed not made up, we had to do this. Shower literally in bedroom (caravan style), very awkward for getting undressed as staying with teenage son. Toilet literally in a cupboard. Mattresses very hard, pillows very hard. Corridors in poor state, carpets worn and smelt very damp. Hotel staff friendly, however issues with computer system that said we had not paid for breakfast which we had so could not walk easily into breakfast. Extremely limited choice for breakfast, and very low end food. To finish things offf, some guests had thrown milk and sugar out of a window onto our car, milk had made a mess. Husband reported to hotel, they cleaned top of car, which is good. Tbh prices should have been cheaper as we paid £125, which I think was dear, and hotel basically looked like a prison. Will never stay in a budget hotel again!

Parking was £14 per 24 hours which is a lot. The room was too cold and took a long time to warm up with electric oil heater. Only two pillows and many of the rooms only have a single stool but luckily we had a chair in the accessible room. Rooms are clean but the decor reminded me of a private room on a NHS hospital ward. There was mildew above the shower which is easily treatable with bleach. It is truly a budget hotel.

We stayed for one night and unfortunately did not enjoy our stay. We arrived late due to a long journey. Upon checking in reception staff were helpful. When we got to our room we had noticed the bathroom was not well cleaned. There was a lot of mould on the accessibility facilities, we were not using these and choice not to use the shower facilities due to this. My concern was that those required this would have to use these and in my opinion a poses a health risk. Finally after getting into bed after a long day we looked up and above the bed (below the bunk bed) there was what appears to be bodily fluid (bloodied) sweared all across the bed. Unfortunately at this point we decided it was too late to change rooms and had to sleep on the opposite end. We checked out early as we did not want to stay any longer. I mentioned this at reception. I feel the receptionist did not feel apologetic and felt like it was not worth the time. We got a simple “oh thank you for letting me know.” In my opinion this is a huge health hazard and even though this is a budget hotel this should not be a standard. We only had one night luckily but due to this we left the moment we woke up to get home and clean. I personally would never normally review but on this occasion I feel this is needed due to the nature.
