The Canopy by Hilton is a nice property. The location on the River Walk is great. The amenities are okay. The ice machine on our floor was broken. A few minor things in the room were broken, like the sink stopper, a broken toilet paper holder, etc.

Poor Service

I also called before booking to ensure there was a mini fridge available to place medications. I was told there was one in each room but it was a beverage fridge. I called room service and they said they didn’t have any mini fridges and would ask their manager for a solution. Nobody followed up though I called twice. Given the caliber of the hotel, the service was not great. The restaurant was also crowded in terms of seating. Food expensive and not good! Also no pool.

My stay at the Canopy was great! The check in was very efficient, valet was good, staff were all very friendly and professional. The rooms are nice, modern and very clean. It’s in a great location right at the Riverwalk, plenty of restaurants and shops in walking distance. 10/10 i would definitely recommend!

Just a one night stay but this hotel was perfectly positioned for our Alamo and Riverwalk purposes. We stayed on the 19th floor (corner room) and it was very spacious and had great views. We also ate at Domingo restaurant and it was pretty good.

Stellar Stay and Canopy

Thisis truly a unique hotel. The decor has semi modern industrial/minimalist look. That may not appeal to everyone,but we enjoyed it. The Otro bar on the third floor has kind of a business center or lounge before you go into the actual bar. It was decorated beautifully and looked like a lovely spot to just sit and relax.The Otra bar had some outdoor seating that was beautiful with a water feature. The staff there was welcoming . We really liked their new outdoor bar directly under the hotel on the Riverwalk. It was called Locura. Jonathan was amazing and the street food was very good. We also ate at the restaurant. We probably had one of the last reservations at 9:45. To be honest, I didn’t really love the table we were as it was kind of in the way of everything. The decor of the restaurant called Domingo is beautiful. We knew that the food would be touristy and high priced, and we were prepared for that, but it just wasn’t as good as it probably usually is. My tortillas were a little dry and my husband‘s fish was overcooked. All in all we did enjoy the ambience and the waitstaff was attentive. Also, I did like that the front desk staff texted us during our stay to ask how it was going. that was a nice touch.
