Enjoyed the location of the hotel. Very close to riverwalk and walkable to other hot spots downtown. Also, the staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are also very clean and well kept up with. Very satisfied overall

Hilton would be ashamed to have their name on this

Room and hotel was filthy. There was no parking lot and the staff parks across the street in the only available public parking streetside. I asked the staff where I can park and they told me I should pay 40$ a night to valet and I’d have a guarantee spot on the public street. Ludicrous! The pool was filthy. It had food wrappers and trash throughout. The breakfast was less than sub par. Barely continental. I got this hotel for a couple reasons. It was close to the Riverwalk so I didn’t want to have to pay for parking and the second reason is because I saw that it was a Hilton Sponsored hotel so I expected better all the way around. Quality, service, the little extra. But the red roof, days inn, and La Quinta has better reviews, and their own parking lot. I ended up paying over 80$ just to park for the day and overnight. I can also say that the 4 surrounding hotels all had parking lots for their patrons. I’m completely dissatisfied with this stay and it will have an affect on me continuing my business with Hotels.com moving forward.

It was enjoyable and semi relaxing. We had constant knocking or disturbances at our door late at night because parents can’t control their children. The hotel staff desk lady was great but then their was an issue that I’m still dealing with about being charged for something that no one knows or is trying to find out why I am being charged for. Other than that. It was good. May or may not chose to stay their again.

Please be aware that this hotel does NOT HAVE PARKING, you would need to pay valet or park on parking site that are very expensive. It’s best to find better hotels that include parking for the same price.

Expedia Review – ⭐ 1 Star 🚨 DO NOT STAY at Tru by Hilton San Antonio Riverwalk – Worst Hotel Experience Ever 🚨 I expected Hilton quality but got filthy conditions, broken amenities, and dishonest staff. Major Issues: ❌ Room in disrepair – Hole in the wall, peeling paint, and a flooding bathroom that leaked into the bedroom. ❌ Broken amenities – Phone didn’t work, making it impossible to call the front desk. Laundry machines were broken—one left lint all over my clothes, and another had melted rubber bands in the dryer. ❌ Misleading breakfast – Advertised bagels, bacon, and fresh fruit, but there were none. The fruit they had was rotting, and eggs were ice cold. ❌ Rude & dishonest staff – Gaslit me, lied about refunds, and sent an aggressive text misgendering me. ❌ Unsafe environment – Children ran wild at midnight, banging on doors & throwing tampons at guests. Staff refused to stop it and instead accused my partner of being the problem. ❌ Expedia calls ignored – Hotel refused to answer Expedia’s refund request and falsely claimed they spoke to me. Expedia, why do you allow hotels like this? This place is a scam, and I want my refund. #HiltonFail #ExpediaFail #TravelFail #BadHotel #TruByHilton

The hotel is situated in an excellent location, making it convenient for access to nearby attractions and amenities. The staff members were friendly and attentive, providing a warm welcome during our stay. However, we found the beds to be quite firm, which may not be to everyone's preference for a comfortable night's sleep. Additionally, the door to our room had a noticeable gap around it, allowing a significant amount of light from the hallway to seep in, which was distracting during the night.

I recently stayed at a Tru by Hilton property and was disappointed with the cleanliness standards. The room had a musty odor, and the bathroom fixtures appeared unclean. Additionally, common areas like the lobby and hallways were not well-maintained. This experience did not meet my expectations for the Hilton brand.

The mattress sits on a large wooden frame and that was filthy. Crumbs all over it. You have to pay 40 dollars for parking or park around the block or under the bridge which they didn’t recommend because of break ins. Homeless people are everywhere where by the location so don’t recommend for women traveling by themselves.
