I highly recommend this hotel. Everything was amazing - the rooms were fresh and clean and the staff was so amazing. Friendly and willing to help with anything - they made our party feel so welcome. The hotel is close to the airport and we felt very safe.

Great place with a pool and great little restaurant. Breakfast was included and was very hearty. The staff were excellent, and the place is very clean. The only downside is that it is directly beneath the flight path so you have to get used to hearing planes overhead, but not all night. Excellent airport transfer time with it being only 4 kms away from SJO, but if going during rush hour in the morning, give yourself extra time (it took us 40 minutes to get to SJO due to traffic). We would definitely stay again.

Hard to find. Tough neighbourhood. No sign on street for the hotel, only a partially broken "doorbell" to open a large metal door to enter the property. Room had broken drain on sink, which splashed on floor when used. Some shower fixtures starting to rust. Staff friendly. Restaurant acceptable. Bed ok. Wifi ok.Price and distance to airport ok.

The shuttle is only for return, not pickup from the airport. I would have booked somewhere else for that reason alone. I understood transportation to be for pickup. Once onsite, it was great for an affordable airport hotel.

This place has a private gate that once you drive through, you enter into a quaint setting with beautiful flowering trees! I was completely surprised because the drive to the area was on busy streets. I thought there would only be unsafe street parking, but there was ample parking behind the gate. The pool was nice, the staff was very friendly, and dinner was good. The bathroom was spacious and the lighting was good. Beds were comfortable. I would feel safe having this as home base while exploring nearby. However we vacationed in La Fortuna and only used this as a quick stay before a flight home.

I love this property. I’ve stayed here several times over the past 10 years either arriving or departing from SJO. Due to its proximity to the airport you hear planes coming and going, so I wouldn’t spend my entire vacation here although it is a beautiful quaint place. I love the convenience and can’t beat the price for what you get.

Pros: Very friendly & helpful staff! Airport shuttle. Great breakfast w/dinner as an option. Nice grounds in a gated area. Pool, leisure areas and massage available. Cons: Very basic room; bed & pillows could use to be updated. Noisy due to other guests milling about and some overhead planes sounding as though they're about to land on top of the room.

The hotel grounds were nice. The room was tiny and very old. The sheets were yellow colored, and the bathroom was damp and covered in old green tile. I would not stay there again.

The hotel staff is very nice. The food at the hotel is good and the price is reasonable. The area inside of the hotel, it’s nice and comfortable. But outside of the hotel, it is a relatively poor area. It’s nice that free shuttle to airport is provided (even though we had to leave at 4:30 am) and breakfast is provided too.
