Property was pretty awful. Public areas were dirty. Front desk staff seemed like they couldn't be bothered to provide good customer service, they barely looked at us when we checked in. My room was clean at first glance, but when I dropped something on the floor and leaned down to pock it up, I noticed that under both beds was filthy.

The front desk clear was very friendly and helpful! Our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable. The only issue we had was our room had an adjacent door to the next room and it was very noisy. Wish we could have partaken in the breakfast offered but we left prior to 7:00.

The property of Coyote South is really cute indoors. The lobby space is decorated well & looks appealing. My room was a "non-smoking" room but had the stench of cigarettes as soon as I walked into it upon check in. There were SO MANY SPIDERS. I killed 3 just the first night, and had multiple run-ins with more the following days. The carpet was covered in small pieces of trash & crumbs, and there was some interesting colored stains in the sink & bathtub/shower. There is a Keurig machine in the room, and when trying to use it for a cup of hot water (to make tea) the water came thru and was YELLOW and had dead bugs in it!!! I tried to brew a plain cup of hot water twice, and it was discolored both times. (YUCK) The real nail in the coffin was, while standing at the front desk to check out - there was 2 men outside smoking marijuana with a glass pipe just steps away from the front door... Yes it's legal in NM, and I have no judgement about folks smoking pot - but not by the front door of a hotel.

Excellent breakfast burritos

I really enjoyed the breakfast. Just have to remember that it is upstairs and you have to have your key card to your room to get access into the breakfast room a very nice excellent breakfast burritos probably the best I’ve had on my 5000 mile trip so far.
