Beautiful, But Service Issues

This hotel is beautiful, in a great location, and has several dining and shopping options available. A couple of things that made what should have been a GREAT stay, a disappointing one- the floor that I was on was under construction (?). I was not notified or alerted to this and it was extremely disruptive and frankly, rude. I was unable to be seated (party of 1) at the main restaurant despite more than half of the tables available. Went to the bar and was ignored for 7 minutes without any acknowledgement, so I left. Shower pressure is like being pelted with paint balls. Bed is hard. Felt like this was REALLY overpriced for the experience.

Love that it is historic. However that is not an excuse to have beat up furniture, mold in the grout around the ancient tub, thresholds also are beat up, floors that probably are historic but look like old linoleum, heating system that also looks really old. And paintings that I question our appropriate because the one in our room was painted by a pupil in a Native American or Indian School. I noticed dark stains in the carpets in the main lobby area. Stains on a tired looking upholstered chair. I would like to however mention that the reception staff were very friendly and funny! Welcoming and caring. Also informative. So that made up for quite a bit! I am hoping that tomorrow's experience being that we are downtown will outweigh my disappointment in the state of the hotel. This is a $350 hotel.....I expected better.

Great place, perfect location pool is lacking. It's adjacent to the parking garage. Everytime a car starts the pool area is flooded with exhaust.

All aspects were satisfactory. Unfortunately, we were unable to access the rooftop to enjoy the sunset, which was a key factor in our decision to stay there. The rooftop is currently undergoing renovations, despite no prior mention of this online.
