Cute adobe hotel, great sized room for a good price. Room seemed clean but leftovers in the fridge. Very friendly staff. Would stay again. I think I heard them talking about doing some upkeep. A couple of things should be done in the room I stayed inWeatherstripping around windows and doors. Burnt plug in bathroom and other plug very difficult to get a connection. So some older aspects. But again had a pleasant stay and I was in walking distance of what I wanted to see, restaurants, etc.

The Vanessie Inn was a great experience. The staff are very friendly and responsive. The accommodations were great - bed very comfortable. Breakfasts were a pleasant surprise with lots of fresh fruit options. While the restaurant wasn't open the location is superb with numerous great local restaurants within walking distance not to mention the nearby Santa Fe plaza.

The room was pleasant, and the young woman at reception was friendly, professional, and helpful in all respects, a perfect example of what is required for her position. Locating the hotel is a bit meandering but it is within walking distance of The Lensic and has a good variety of dining venues. The breakfast options, though extensive, were quite lacking in the hot food department. Of the scrambled eggs there was barely an egg's worth, and that dried out, and this at about 8:45 when breakfast is served until much later. The potatoes were cold, all in all less than satisfactory considering that there is an additional charge for the amenity. I could easily have walked a block or two and spent the money more wisely.

The Inn was very nice, very comfortable. The tv’s in our room, neither remote worked. Wasn’t a big deal, as we weren’t in long. Also, the additional fees were a bit high.

I love staying at this hotel! It’s quaint and charming in decor, clean, and a safe location, walking distance to the Plaza. I just wish the restaurant would open again. Otherwise it’s a great boutique hotel.

Misleading rooms

Be careful. The hotel does not confirm the type of room booked on Hotels.com. If you book a suite, you will still be assigned a standard room at check-in. The Inn will then claim it is a suite. While the Suites are nice, the standard rooms are dated and unkept. The pictures do not accurately reflect the condition of the rooms. While I have enjoyed many of the suites at the Inn, the standard rooms are 2 star at best.

We have stayed here several times and are always pleased with the wonderful service and beautiful rooms. Each room is beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. Being able to walk to the Plaza is a huge plus for us as well. A must stay in Santa Fe.
