Great small hotel in the heart of Seattle

This little gem right in the heart of downtown Seattle was perfect for our stay. The room was spacious and updated. We appreciated the extra sitting area, which gave us additional space for our 5-year-old son. The wine hour was a nice touch, and the lobby/lounge area was a perfect place to enjoy coffee or a drink or read a little. Love the Theodore!

Fabulous location for seeing a show at the Paramount and the restaurant in the hotel was great—the room, however, was tiny. Teeny tiny. We’ve stayed there before and had larger rooms. But this time we must have booked the used-to-be-a-closet-but-turned-into-a-hotel-room room. I’d stay again but will definitely pay better attention to the room I’m booking.

The building was safe and clean and our specific suite was spacious. There was sufficient room for a more comfortable seating arrangement but was decorated with a small table and two chairs leaving a large open area. We stayed in early March (late Winter) and the thermostat was set to a the low 60s) when were arrived. The HVAC system struggled the first night to achieve a comfortable temperature in the large suite but did finally catchup by morning. The exhaust system for the separate toilet room and bathing room didn't move much air and had no fresh air supply. As a result, the toilet room didn't stay fresh and the bathing room became quite steamy with consecutive showers.

No problem w check-in, quick and easy. Was able to get into the room within 5 min. Very good. The hotel is nicely maintained, clean and friendly. The lobby are is also nice and has many sitting place. The location is also a big plus w/ many places to eat/shop.

Hotel Theodore was an excellent boutique property. The hotel lounge and rooms were clean and beautiful. The art and furniture throughout the hotel was charming. The gym was well appointed. The hotel is conveniently located. All of the attractions and dining options we had planned were within walking distance. The room and bathroom were small, but we were able to manage (we stayed in a deluxe room). I did not have a car, so I can’t speak to that experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
