HAD TO PAY AN AMENITY FEE, BECAUSE I BOOKED THROUGH EXPEDIA . THE AMENITIES WHERE COOL BUT NOT SOMETHING I WOULD HAVE PAID FOR. THIS IS A HIPSTER HOTEL. I WAS THERE FOR A PROCEDURE AT THE HOSIPTAL FOR MY 3 MONTH OLD. THEY PUT ME IN A WHEEL CHAIR/HANDICAP ROOM, I DONT THINK THEY HAVE MOTHERS WITH AN INFANT VERY OFTEN. THEY ALSO DO NOT HAVE SHUTTLES OR TRANSPORTATION OTHER THAN THE BIKES THAT YOU ARE FORCED TO PAY FOR IN THE AMENITIES FEE OF $20. WE STAYED THERE FOR THE LOCATION, CLOSE TO THE SEATTLE CLIDRENS HOSPITAL. I THOUGHT IT WAS WALKING DISTANCE BUT WITH A BABY AND LUGGAGE A MILE AND A HALF UP HILL WAS NOT VERY DOABLE. IT COST LESS THAN $20 TO GET AN UBER THOUGH. IT WAS NOT BAD BUT ALSO NOT GREAT! -EMMA

I can't rave about this place enough. The value for the price, how intentional they are with little touches and amenities and how kind their staff is- truly pineapple hospitality and they definitely have a loyal customer out of me. We are Seattle locals who needed to stay in the U District for a surgery my partner is having at the UW. It's rightfully a stressful time for us. Checking into this inn was a positive light in a time where we really needed it. Parking fee waived for medical stays, and they told us any additional nights would be discounted for medical reasons (important because we weren't sure if the hospital allowed overnight visitors), a comp beverage upon check in- absolute score! A wine for me and a sparkling water for my husband. The reusable water bottle and a water fountain...this is always a need when staying overnight, plus I could bring it to the hospital with me! Outside of those initial things, I was impressed by the touches in room. The individual duvets, the comfy robes, towels that actually fit around your whole body, stocked soap & body wash, the pineapple outlet for charging multiple devices! Also, the room was clean clean. It's not often I'm impressed by my stay somewhere, let alone enough to rave in a review. Highly recommend the university inn, and we will for sure choose this location for our future stays by the hospital.

Decent choice for U District

We recently stayed at the University Inn in Seattle and had a decent experience overall. It's a dog-friendly hotel, which was a big plus for us—our pups were welcomed with treats and a pup cups, which was a sweet touch. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. That said, the hotel itself is quite small and felt a bit cramped compared to other Staypineapple properties we've visited. It’s definitely not the best Staypineapple we've stayed at, but also far from the worst hotel experience we've had. If you're traveling with pets and looking for a place in the U District, it’s a solid, if modest, choice.

HVAC unit is in the room. Woke us up whenever it comes on. Even when it cycles off we could hear a deep pulsing sound from elsewhere in the building, which would cycle on and off.

Very cute hotel, wonderful stay, especially Rye, clean, comfortable rooms. Love their special touches. I hope they expand to other areas. We stayed in the University district, very close to public trans UofWA. It’s was a little busy and noisy but it’s a bigger city, lots going on, but felt pretty safe.
