Stunning location - comfortable hotel

We enjoyed our stay at Sky Ranch Lodge! We had looked at other similar hotels when booking our trip to Sedona and are so glad we chose this one. We had no idea what an amazing view we would have right outside the premises! We arrived one evening right before sunset, and folks from all over were already beginning to gather at the lookout (1 min. walk from the lobby) for the gorgeous sunset view. Instead of joining them, we hiked down the trail (also 1 min. from the lobby) to one of the vortex sites, and enjoyed the beauty all around us. Our second favorite aspect of Sky Ranch lodge was the (permanent) food truck parked outside. They serve wine all evening and have delicious breakfast options. It was nice to wake both morning, step right outside, and have food ready in minutes. Our only complaint about the stay is that the hot tub (one of the reasons we booked here in the first place) was closed for the month. This information was communicated to us before our trip, but long after we had booked. Not a huge deal, but we were disappointed as a hot soak after our long hikes around Sedona would have been nice.

Stayed for 2 nights in January in a second floor room. Nice room, spacious and clean, although the balcony mainly looked over the property and less the scenic view. However, the hotel has its own private overlook for an amazing sunset. A trailhead to the airport mesa vortex and overlook is steps away. Nice touch is their own free shuttle driver to ferry people to and from dinner. The airstream that serves as wine/beer bar and breakfast food truck is really nice. There are a few seats around it or you can take drinks away with you.

This lodge has spectacular views! Not only can you have a great view of the red rocks out of your window but there is also a very nice patio with chairs to sit on and watch the sunset. We enjoyed the charming, updated decor along with all of the special touches to make us feel comfortable. You will need to make a short drive into Sedona for dining; However, they do have a cute Airstream serving some breakfast items and it turns into a little bar serving drinks in the evening. We were here in the winter but could tell that the in-season landscape would be quite beautiful. We would highly recommend!

The best patio views ever. Excellent rooms. Nice staff and shuttle service though the shuttle is limited to certain distances and time frames.The only downsides were the distance / holiday traffic to shopping areas or restaurants.

Something are better left alone

This place is one of our favorites. But they did take away one of our best parts. They had a bar on the patio that was very cozy and friendly. Now they replaced it with a trailer in the middle of the driveway. Not very cozy friendly. Can’t really hangout and chat with bartender. Not the same.

Cozy Getaway

The room feels extremely cramped considering the price you pay. For couples seeking some privacy, be aware that the bathroom setup is quite inconvenient. There is no door separating the bathroom area from the sink, which can lead to awkward moments, especially if one person needs to use the toilet while the other is at the sink. The only door available is for the shower, leaving an uncomfortable lack of privacy for essential activities. This layout definitely detracts from the overall comfort of the stay.
