I'd stay here again

Loved the imaginative pop-art, pop-culture vibe! Clean and new-feeling hotel. Room great, beds comfortable, shower nice and hot, Keurig with coffee and tea pods in room. Nice staff. Breakfast buffet high-quality but you have to pay extra, it's still worth it. DRAWBACKS: no mini fridge in room to keep things cold. Walls a little thin, can hear tv next door.

The hotel is old and definitely showing its age! They spent money on the esthetics but its lacking in general maintenance. They was no place to hang atowel in the bathroom and the handle to the door was broken. The furniture needs repainting and some replacing. It was a good location and had a lot of places to shop and eat.

Gave it a 2nd try. Room was dirty. Heat would not go off . Noisy heavy doors and the portable crip was sketchy, old rusty, room too small to fit it. No blanket given for the crib. No mini fridge, also $3.00 for 8 oz bottle of water in the room.

The hotel was extremely cool with all the retro decor and a really groovy atmosphere. However, through the Hilton App on the Hotel Guide under breakfast it says “Join us for a free breakfast in the lobby at Pantry, featuring a variety of signature favorites like Eggs Benedict. Available daily from 7:00AM-11:00AM.” To our surprise at the end of breakfast we were told it was $18 per person. Luckily after I explained to the worker that the app said otherwise we didn’t have to pay but it definitely turned us off. Then when it came to check out I got a second charge on my card for our stay. Hopefully the first charge when we checked in will come off my card and I won’t have to dispute it but for an already expensive stay I probably will not return here.

I love all of the nostalgia from the 1960’s, 70’s & 80’s in terms of the furniture, photos, music, etc. The Verve is truly unique and I would definitely stay there again.
