Book Silver Sands hotels

I don't like to leave negative reviews for hotels. I feel like you can't please everyone all the time. However, I had to make an exception for this one. We booked this trip to celebrate my husband's birthday. It started out great the property is located right on a beautiful beach. The hotel room "appeared" to be perfect. First came the issue with our dinner reservations for my husband's birthday. The person that booked the dinner reservations made a mistake and didn't enter it into their system. Mistakes happen. No worries. When we showed up at the restaurant the two hostesses were so unprofessional about it. Basically, telling us that we had to find somewhere else to eat since we were not booked for that night. Thankfully, I had the list of restaurants on a piece of paper from the woman that originally booked us and retrieved it from my room which still did not rectify the situation immediately or give us an apology for the way they initially acted. Eventually we were seated but at that point we felt very unwelcomed. In addition, 2 days in we noticed that my son had bites on him but not realizing what it was we brushed it off. By the end of our 5-day trip, my son had multiple bites all over his body. When we realized this was an issue we went to guest services in the lobby. There were 3 people that saw the bites and brushed us off. I took several pictures and consulted with our doctor today and he indeed confirmed that he was bitten by bed bugs.

Really enjoyed the charm of the rooms. Staff was great! Nice and quite. Perfect for a reset!

My room was only refreshed once during my 5 day stay. I had to go ask for new towels on wells twice. Restaurants not open all day. You must schedule your day around restaurant hours unless you want to pay for meals outside the resort. Staff not very accommodating and no onsite place to buy souvenirs or necessities.

Overall fabulous stay! Staff are so attentive and courteous, adults only rooftop is fab, the infinity pool downstairs is perfect for a morning swim - rooms are spacious and all rooms have a sea view. Breakfast was outstanding with the selection on offer - cannot wait to stay again

The stay was cozy and the property is situated right on the beach with the breeze calming you all the time around. We rented the studio apartment and the bed was super comfy. The room was clean and well equipped ...enough to cater you for a week. The bathroom had hot water available all the year around. The only issue was the toilet flush , but it was manageable. We flushed twice. There were beach and normal towels provided and information was available to get around Barbados . The best thing was the host.. we had a late evening flight back to London and the host allowed us to stay for a late checkout without any qualms of charges. We requested and he absolutely made sure it happened. The stay has the attached resort bar with happy hours, amazing drinks and good music over the weekend. The fish cutter and the mahi mahi grill were delicious! Thanks a lot for all the effort and hosting this amazing stay. It's pristine, secluded and absolutely what a beach vacation means .
