We didn’t like the fact we couldn’t find our room, it was up or down stairs, or ther side of building. Took us ages to find our room,even with help of staff! Very confusing! Our friends had the same problem! Took the lift as advised but still far from our room!
The staff were very friendly and accomodating. We found the Hotell very basic and in need of a complete refurb. Many areas are tatty and 1970s style. Cooked buffet breakfast was cold.

Hotel is a bit tired. Fine to stay in for one night.
Unfortunately this hotel is nothing like the photos or description. Not very clean, very tired and terrible beds and bathrooms. Breakfast was terrible so went elsewhere for food.
We found the hotel very comfortable and clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful only stayed the one on our way to Dover but would stay there again
The hotel was lovely, set in fabulous grounds. The room was lovely and staff were friendly. Breakfast was good. Most of the food wasn't labelled with allergens though, so had to ask. Sadly the bar was poorly stocked. Half of the pumps were off and the only snacks available were nuts. The bed and pillows were hard. The hotel served us well enough though for an overnighter on the way to a family function.

Hotel looks great on website but when you get there quite a different story. Very dated, badly maintained, garden furniture in very bad condition and dirty, which is a same as lovely gardens. Our room was very basic with tap coming away from bathroom sink and chips in shower base, water also went everywhere as shower screen is not long enough, definately not a £99 room, more like a £55 room. On the plus side food was really good but very over priced, and drinks are very over priced, you would need a mortgage to stay there all weekend if you were eating and drinking there. Staff were very polite.

A mixed bag
The room was ok though very warm (a fan was provided and the window opened) and the bathroom had no extractor fan. Chair & sofa were a velvet type material which I dislike. The curtains failed to blackout due to moth holes. The second floor has multiple stairs and each trip to or from the room felt like a hike. Breakfast was good and staff were attentive and there is plenty of free parking.
