Great location, 1 house off the beach and only a short walk to many restaurants, pubs, mini golf, surf shop & more. Covered porch or hang out upstairs on the sundeck. You will find a well stocked kitchen, extra towels and linens and beach chairs. Quiet dead in street with semi private beach access for a relaxing vacation. 3 Flat screen cable TV's, WiFi and DVD players. Pet friendly!

Needs repairs

Convenient to beach but more than the 20 steps in description. Also the place needs updating with the electricity. The bedroom I was in had a wall outlet that worked sometimes but not other times. The lights flickered in other parts of the house. Seems dangerous to me. The bathroom tub was rusted around drain so I used my water shoes to shower. It wouldn't hurt to have an exterminator to spray for the bugs outside. One of the windows wouldn't lock and we had to use it before we got the code that was requested but got the next day by email. Other than all this I will probably find another place on my next visit. I now know why the price was lower than other places.

Great property and location. I paid a deposit that should be refunded. Owner says that VRBO has it but I don’t know where to contact for my refund.

Steps from beach but close quarters

We loved the location - steps away from beach dunes then you were on the beach. The house was clean but it was hard to tell where the bedrooms were located until we arrived. Both bedrooms and loft were all located right next to each other on 2nd floor so don't expect much privacy. Rooms were clean but dated and tv in smaller room is broken. Washer/ dryer weren't hooked up correctly so we had to do laundry in all hot water but despite the amenities, the location helped and we had a great time.

Craig is the man

This property was the best place to celebrate our graduation. Craig is accommodating and an excellent host. Some of his neighbors on the other hand, have nothing to do with their time except be bothered by the occupants. Craig unfortunately can’t control who his neighbors are, but for any future renter, be aware you’re being watched closely at all times. Other than that, the location is perfect and steps away from the beach. Thank you Craig!!!!

Excellent location, very responsive owner

The location was perfect, very close to beach access. The street was quiet and the neighborhood friendly. We had minor issues but the owner was very easy to communicate with and dealt with the minor issues we had.

Great Location, But...

This rental is the south half of a house, NOT the whole house. This makes the layout odd, with few windows and not much light (no windows in bathrooms or master bedroom, only one small window in kitchen and second bedroom). The main windows in the living room are blocked by trees and foliage. The location is very close to the beach, but that is the best characteristic. The rental needs a deep cleaning, new paint, and decorations. Towels and bedding were thin, and seemed old. Changing the layout of the bedrooms would improve it drastically. It just seems dark and dingy. Needs a good overhaul.

Great location !

My husband and I and our two daughters (22 yo , 16 yo) stayed here over Labor Day weekend . Great location ! Literally, only steps to the beach . Quiet street , close to local eateries and short drive to historic St Augustine . We enjoyed bike rides , walks on the beach and touring St Augustine .

Not a good choice for the elderly or disabled. Close to the Beach but all bedrooms & showers are upstairs which is reached by a very small spiral staircase. My husband is disabled and could not climb the spiral staircase. The Kitchen and living space on 1st floor, all beds and showers/baths are upstairs. Property also has an outside wooden staircase which my disabled husband could not climb. The owner was excellent inland exhibited great communication. He got us a condo with no stairs. We are great ful to him for trying to make the situation right. This property is good if you can climb stairs easily and it’s close by the beach.

Stairs in the home are very narrow, not good for elderly or the disabled.

We enjoyed the property, however, to get to the beach is a not that easy. Two huge dunes to walk over plus about 200 feet of deep hot sand to walk through before you actually get to the beach so the 20 steps to the beach is accurate but also deceiving. The house had a few minor issues, but overall it was just what we wanted.

We had a great time staying here. Comfortable, clean, just the right amount of beds. Right on the beach although it is quite a little walk over some sand dunes. We were not expecting that. But we had a great stay in St. Augustine.

Great location and space!

We loved the convenience and location. Property was nicely maintained. Only downside was the stairs were a little hard for my 75 yr old mom. You could use exterior steps, but it rained a fair amount during our stay.
