Very good

Old & tired hotel. Drab rooms & a bed that was ready for the skip. If you are a business traveler wanting a Vat receipt, look elsewhere, they say they will give you one on checkout, as they can’t until your account is closed, then refuse when it is.
Good location. Has the use of pool and gym although can be very crowded. The breakfast is good value. Dinner is a bit more pub food than a restaurant as they do not open the proper dining room
We had a pet friendly room. This is only the rooms and halls. There are no internal eating areas to sit with pets. This was very basic but clean. There was some areas that needed updating like woodwork and finishing of flooring in bathroom. Ok for a quick stop over. Breakfast was average and could have benefited from covers as the pastries began to spoil come last hour of service.
Overall amazing experience..nothing bad to say about this place..check in quick..room very comfortable with amazing bed...soo comfy..dinner was delicious and good value as was the breakfast...for the price I paid was overwhelmed in a good way.
Great food and service apart from
Breakfast on the second day when there were no table in the main breakfast room. No glasses either. Food in the evenings was great. Rooms nice and comfortable. Polite staff
The hotel was clean and nice. Good quiet room. Stayed here for 2 nights as it was red warning after the first night, so I extended my stay. A bit disappointing was the closure of the indoor pool and gym on the second day. Afterall that was the reason I paid for the hotel. On the first night, the staff was so determined to get rid of us that they stopped the steamroom and jacuzzi 15 mins ahead of closure time of 8 pm.
The other issue was parking. They tried to charge parking for £10 a night if you did not book with them directly. They waived it for me since hotels.com had not updated their info. However, it left me feeling just slightly off , and this was my first impression of the hotel. I would advise the management to rethink this. I would not mind adding £10 a night to the hotel charge but having paid for the room and then to be told on arrival that you had to pay again is an entirely different matter.
I did consider staying there again as I was travelling 2 weeks after that and again down 2 weeks after that but decided to try elsewhere. It was fairly reasonable for that price but I do not like feeling like that I was being taken for a ride and for that price, there are a lot of other choices.
