We stayed in two adjoining cabins right in the South Rim area. The condition is good considering the age of the property. Walls between the adjoining units are thin and some in our party thought the mattress and pillows were not very comfortable. Compared to camping or driving in daily I think Bright Angel Lodge is a good choice for both location and convenience.
We had our own little cabin in THE best possible location on the rim of the Grand Canyon. You can’t beat that. Two shuttle bus lines stops are literally in front. We didn’t need our car for all three days. You also can walk East or West for miles on the rim trail which is right outside of our cabin. Thank you.
The staff is very helpful and dining options are great.
Bright Angel cabins are excellent for a visit to GC. The Bright Angel trailhead is right there, and the restaurants, visitor centers and viewpoints are easily walkable.
We stayed 1 night in the cozy adobe cabin following a 3-night backpacking trip to the bottom of the canyon. Great shower and comfy bed, all felt very private compared to the main lodge areas. Enjoyed watching the snow fall over the panoramic landscape alongside the glow and warmth of the fireplace.
Good to be steps away from the Canyon. The walls were thinner than they should be.
We didn't mind the rustic feel or other historic details, but, really, we could see our room can be configured to be two rooms side by side and our walls were so thin we could hear EVERY WORD of the guests next door and we could tell they weren't talking loudly.
That wall needs another layer or insulation or SOMETHING.
We stayed in a cabin, it was perfect for two nights. The shower pressure was amazing although the shower was very very small. The room seemed very clean. I wish they had firma pillows. Otherwise I’m very good to stay.
Beautiful cabin right on the edge of the south rim so you wake to the views of sun rising over the canyon. There are all the facilities of restaurants and bars just a few doors away. You can set out for your trek (down into the canyon or around the rim) straight out of the front door.
