It is a lovely hotel in a great location and I enjoyed it. However, some of the power points in the room worked intermittently and the office closes at 6pm! The television only worked on the first night I was there (of 3) and the control panel could not be changed. Nevertheless, it was generally excellent and I would stay there again.

Friendly staff. On arrival Matthew gave us a bottle of cold water each which we really appreciated. Good size room (Heritage suite). Quiet location close to public transport. Excellent hot water although bathroom is quite small. Great for a short stay. Would definitely stay again.

It was so nice to have a home like feel at Avonmore. The staff was incredibly kind and made us feel like home! Everything was beautiful and was a very pleasant stay. Will definitely come again!

Nice room quiet location

An amazing room in a nice quiet location with good transport links. Plenty of shops nearby and several well priced, excellent eateries. Arrived with a bag full of laundry after two weeks in Vietnam, and was able to wash and dry it all within a couple of hours of arriving for $6. Would 100% study here again

Excellent stay near Moore Park

Loads of charm and character , the rooms are large and comfortable, and the service friendly. As with many old buildings the floors are somewhat creaky, but that just adds to the character.

This is a gem of a hotel... absolutely silent, characterful, really comfortable and really well-appointed. The staff are so lovely. Sydney's public transport is excellent and there are many buses and the light rail very close by the hotel. Shops too are just round the corner. Superb!
