Great location and architecture. Would suggest better access to powerpoints near fridge/kettle etc, light to be inside bathroom and replace sliding bathroom door with outward opening door.

Pretty tired old place. Felt like I was staying at a room in THE SHINING. Windows not see through, tiny and didn’t open. So if you’re claustrophobic don’t stay here. The place just felt very meh… It wasn’t super cheap either. I’d look around for more options before booking here again.

The staff at Castlereagh worked hard for our high rating. They were so thoughtful and kind, helping my two children and I whenever we were in need. We loved our spacious yet cozy room and our comfy beds. Everything we needed was within walking distance, including all means of PT. We were all very comfortable and grateful for our stay here, and highly recommend this hotel.

The manager Took my bags and stored them for the day with no charge and he didn’t want to be tipped I tried. The bar has a good selection of beers and they also serve food but you have to order it Before 8:30 PM because that’s when the kitchen closes. I would stay here again.

Cozy & comfy

Rooms are VERY cozy and bathrooms even more so — but the bed was comfy, the staff friendly, and the access to a free laundry room was an unexpected luxury at the end of weeks-long travel. Bonus: the small cafe next door is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and it, plus walking access to shops and public transport, made this an ideal location.

Solid hotel

Pretty good location and great for getting to the key tourist sites. Staff were friendly and helpful. I have to say the room was mostly tidy, but there were signs the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned fully. The door locking was with a key and the lock was very temperamental. An upgrade to key cards is needed!
