Mintie Cottage, built in 1916 by James Stedman, the creator of the confectionery "Minties," was affectionately named after the beloved sweet. Steeped in Australian history, this enchanting cottage is nestled within an old-world garden filled with fragrant herbs, vibrant flowers, and fruit trees, all conveniently positioned on Leura Mall. Mintie Cottage is an ode to a bygone era of elegance and charm, offering a quaint yet comfortable retreat brimming with character.
Upon entering, you'll be greeted by a beautifully furnished lounge room featuring plush, elegant sofas, smart TV and a cosy fireplace, offering an inviting space perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.
The open-plan kitchen and dining area, complete with a slow-combustion fireplace, offers a warm and inviting atmosphere for meals. The fully equipped, country-style gourmet kitchen boasts modern facilities, gas cooking, and a coffee pod machine, making it ideal for crafting anything from simple breakfasts to elaborate dinners.
Mintie Cottage provides three generously sized bedrooms, making it perfect for families, friends, or couples seeking a spacious retreat. The bedrooms include a queen bed, a double bed, two singles, and a single day bed in the bright sunroom, which gracefully flows onto the rear deck. Quality hotel linen and towels are provided to ensure your utmost comfort.
The bathroom is a charming blend of old and new, featuring a walk-in shower and an original claw-foot bath that adds a touch of vintage elegance. With three toilets, two in the house and one in a separate outdoor area, convenience is assured.
Central heating throughout the house ensures a cosy ambiance during cooler mountain evenings, while portable fans are available for summer comfort.

FEES
• The base tariff includes 4 people; extra guests are charged an additional fee per person, per night.
• Electric car charging is $20 per use, payable separately after booking.
FIREWOOD
• There are two combustion wood-burning fireplaces.
• No firewood, kindling, or firelighters are provided.
• Firewood can be purchased locally from petrol stations.
ELECTRIC CAR CHARGING FEE
• Please advise if you intend to use the house electricity to charge your electric car.
• There is a fee of $20 per charge, which is charged separately.
• Kindly inform us of the number of times you plan to charge your car during your stay.
• There is no dedicated EV port at the property. Guests will need to bring their own extension lead and EV-compatible charging cable to connect to the property’s electricity supply.
9PM OUTDOOR NOISE RESTRICTION CURFEW
• For the comfort of our neighbours, please adhere to a noise curfew from 9pm to 8am in all outdoor areas.
• We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a quiet environment during these hours.
IN-HOUSE GUESTS ONLY
• This property is exclusively for registered guests.
• It cannot be used for gatherings or events, and no additional visitors are allowed without permission.
NO PARTY OR NOISE DISRUPTION POLICY
• We enforce a strict no-party and no-noise disruption policy.
• As this is a quiet residential area, any breach will result in immediate eviction without a refund.
PAYMENT POLICY
• Deposit: A minimum 50% deposit is required to confirm bookings made more than 30 days before the arrival date.
• Balance & Security Bond: The remaining balance and the refundable security bond must be paid 30 days before the arrival date.
• Full Payment: For bookings made within 30 days of the arrival date, full payment and the refundable security bond are required at the time of booking.
• Transaction Fee: A non-refundable 2.9% Stripe transaction fee applies to all payments including the bond.
• Statement: Payments will appear as ACCOMMODATE BLUE MOUNT on your bank statement.
• Agreement: By making payments, you agree to our terms and conditions.
• Bond Refund: Bond refunds are processed 7 business days after check-out and may take 5-10 days to appear in your bank account.
CANCELLATION POLICY
• Standard Cancellations: Cancellations made within 30 days before arrival are non-refundable. Cancellations made 31 days or more before arrival incur a non-refundable AU$5.00 channel manager fee.
• Date Transfers: Changes to booking dates are not permitted within 30 days of the arrival date.
• Event Cancellations: Accommodated is not responsible for cancellations of events, functions, or activities. Such cancellations will be governed by our standard cancellation policy.
• COVID-19 Lockdown: If travel is prohibited due to a COVID-19 lockdown, bookings can be transferred up to one year in advance with one free date change.
