I have stayed more than 30 times in recent years and the standards have dropped significantly, no breakfast available, a really noisy fridge in the room along with kids cereals and a vastly reduced food menu in the bar. Used to be a standout hotel in the area but the Sutherland has taken over from what I have seen - shame On a positive the staff are lovely and it’s very clean

Lovely staff and wonderful room. Nice pub setting to eat in. only complaint is that the cutlery/glassware wasn't quite clean (lipstick marks here and there) but that's easily rectified.

Stayed one night with daughter as visiting a nearby university. Bedroom and bathroom were clean; bed was comfortable and location was quiet. Breakfast choice was reasonable; happy we opted for the small cooked breakfast (which was of a high standard) ;there was plenty on the plate.
