Very good

Very dated and in desperate need of renovation. Our room had old, worn and dirty carpet and also an old dirty chais lounge. Bathroom was tiny and you had to squeeze past the toilet to access the shower.
Room service had nice food but took 3 attempts to deliver it - first time missed the fries, second time missed the cutlery. Called the kitchen to pick up the dinner tray after we finished but it laid outside our room all night.
For over $450 a night - was more like a 2 star hotel. Would not stay again. Only thing going for the hotel is its gorgeous grounds. Breath taking.

We had noisy neighbours who we could hear clearly through the party door. Very limited storage for clothing. We were there for 3 nights and only had bedside table draw and wardrobe clothing on the desk so had to sit most of our clothes on the desk. Crack in hand basin and poor fitting toilet seat.
Not what I would expect of a hotel of Peppers reputation and certainly overcharged for the room.

good relax trip 1 hr from Sydney..for overnight stay
I rarely review any negatives about a property/room but this one I really had to as I was really not impressed especially with the $330 per night (pet friendly room)!!! We have stayed at many pet friendly accommodations of all means over 8 years in NSW/Qld and Vic and never have had to pay this much nor have such a terrible room with no view, carpets smelled like mould, tiny fridge very difficult to open in cupboard. Room so small it was difficult to even fit your pet with its little bed in there. Tiny little table to rest your bag/drink on, only 1 chair you could not put anywhere and a lounge along the side of the wall for 1 person. For such an upmarket place this was all extremely disappointing and wish we had not booked in for 2 nights over the internet. The gardens were lovely and lots of green grass to walk your pet was great. King size bed really comfy, shower great. Dinner outside near our room well away from the restaurant was very delicious but had to pay full price as the same as being at the restaurant. Wanted to order a cheaper room service menu only to be told they did not have any at the time. Facilities in the room very sparse not even a plate only 2 mugs and 2 glasses and wine glasses. We had to ask for a little more tea/coffee/sugar and milk from the lovely house maid we did meet. Not sure if the other non-dog friendly rooms were any better. The property is very outdated with the rooms that we saw. The reception/restaurant and sitting rooms did look lovely.
From the minute we walked in we waited ten minutes for a receptionist or someone to book us in ...there was no hello or welcome from the staff member she actually didn't speak to us until we paid. Booking a time in the dining room for dinner was met with disdain and huffs and puffs we can only fit you in at 5.45... plenty of empty seats when we got there. The service and food was terrible for the cost. This is not a luxury escape ... it was once until Peppers took it over. Sadly very disappointing.

The property need a revamp around the dining area was not clean
We are fortunate to find Peppers Craigieburn because the hotel is pet-friendly. So, our beloved dog Hachi can travel to Bowral with us. The hotel is a heritage building that has beautifully preserved its old-world charm. It has a vast and well-manicured garden for us to take a pleasant walk. Centennial Vineyards and Bowral shops are within 10-minute drive. The hotel room is clean. Staff is helpful. Overall we had a very nice experience at Peppers Craigieburn. Will definitely come back!
A beautiful heritage building on acres of gardens with 9 hole golf course.
Staff great, what more could you want.
Recommend.

Left a lot to be desired unfortunately
The gardens were really lovely, and some cosy places to sit inside by the fireplace. But that is about where it ends. The place is really tired and old. The rooms and bathroom were cramped in the extreme, and either their pictures on the site are misleading or we did not get put in the room type we booked. The housekeeping team are the loudest and most inconsiderate of guests that I have encountered. Dont expect a relaxing start to your morning. A lot of basics were not met, like the shower gel was empty and clearly had been for a long time. Luckily the shower had plenty of very hot water, since the heating did not work. It was all really not acceptable for $400 per night. Wanted to love it but unfortunately dont think I would go back, with so many other lovely options available for much lower price.
