Asakusa Gem

Amazing location. Narita limo bus takes you directly here- so zero hassles. Check in was easy- room was large with spectacular view of Asakusa- ours included skytree tower. Breakfast daily included and a great selection. Walkable to Meiji shrine, Ueno park and Kappabashi !!

The beds are hard and uncomfortable. For the price you pay I expected softer beds however this was not the case. Definitely one of the worst sleeping experiences I've had in Japan. If they upgrade their mattresses to ones that are softer and more comfortable I would stay here again. A rating to the staff at the reception desk, they are truly amazing. Facility was clean and organized, my biggest complain was the lack of comfortable beds, if you are someone who has back issues this is not the place to stay, trust me.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Except for the bar

Very professional and kind staff at the reception. Stubborn and unfriendly at the bar. After having dinner at the Karakurenai & Makie restaurant (a bit distanced but professional service)I moved to the Ice House bar (open to 10.00 pm, last orders 9.00 pm). I was at the bar counter at 9.02 pm and they refused to serve me a drink. I do respect the Japanese rules and formalities, but this was too much stubbornness. It was not my first stay at this hotel and I might come again next year. But I will certainly not try the hotel bar.

The Asakusa view hotel is wonderful. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The location is easy to find and perfectly located for using public transport. It’s also a very neat and clean building.
