Although the property is a little dated, it was quite close to the airport and convenient for an overnight stay with an early morning departure. Shuttle runs 24 hours as an added class. There is no restaurant on site, however, less than five minutes walk away there is access to the dining room for a different hotel.

Staff at check in were very good. Bkfst food ran out before the bkfst ended so was bkfst really provided? They seemed very unprepared and there was lineups of guests waiting for food to be refilled. Staff at checkout seemed confused about guests not arriving at the same time and charged a different card than we had arranged.

Only one person on staff. Busy and took a long time to get checked in. Then the room had faulty air conditioning so it was hot. Additionally we had someone try multiple times to get in the adjoining room door during the night. Kept us from having the few hours of sleep we hoped to get before an early flight. Bad experience.

The airport shuttle bus was prompt & the driver was patient. The hotel lobby was clean & bright. Our card had already been fully charged for the stay several weeks before (even though it was meant to be paid on arrival). The receptionist checking us in confirmed that the payment had been taken previously but then she asked for a "security deposit of 100CAD payable ONLY by credit card"- I advised her that their reservation confirmation email NEVER mentioned a security deposit or a credit card. She said it's hotel policy. Told her I didn't have a credit card but was willing to pay the security deposit by other means- debit card or cash. She discussed with her manager & came back to say they couldn't accept a debit card but "we can make an exception on this occasion and accept cash- 300 US dollars"! We were outraged at the inflated amount but they insisted. We had 250 USD and told them that was all we had- take it or leave it. They accepted it & it was refunded when we checked out the next day after inspecting our room. Apart from this experience, no other complaint. They were otherwise very helpful with every need.
