Deeply disappointing experience, during my recent stay. The individual on duty displayed a complete lack of professionalism and courtesy.
Upon arrival, the staff member appeared disengaged and dismissive. When I inquired about the security deposit, I was told—incorrectly—that the deposit amount was $150 instead of the $100 stated in my booking. Despite my polite clarification, the employee insisted on this “rule,” even demanding to see my phone to prove his point. After failing to find any such policy, he neither apologized nor corrected his tone; instead, he threatened to cancel my reservation if I refused to pay the higher amount.
Once I reluctantly paid, he handed me the room key. When I asked for two empty glasses, he refused, claiming there were none available, and then proceeded to step outside for a smoke directly in front of the entrance.
The entire encounter was unprofessional and unacceptable. It created a hostile first impression and ruined what was meant to be a relaxing weekend. I expect that this incident will be reviewed seriously and appropriate measures taken to ensure guests are treated with basic respect and professionalism.
