It is definitly not 3 star hotel. No internet, quite cold in rooms, furniture conditions could be better. Though, it is just 30 min away from Grand Canyon, so staying here is not too bad.

Tiny room

Let folks know the rooms in the annex are very small. Little space around bed and no place for CPAP or luggage. Juan, our server at the restaurant, was personable and the food was awesome. Enough for us to share and still be full!

About a 20 minute drive from the main entrance and worth it for the money you save They had a kiosk check in and check out so I didn't interact with a human during my entire stay

Rooms were run down, building was even worse. No real human contact upon check in, it was a strange video kiosk. Nothing around for miles and it had a Williams address yet was 30 miles from there. Trash was overflowing in stairwell. Filthy hall carpets. Just not great all around.

Towels & checkout issues

I booked the room for a possible of 5 people, yet there were only two big towels in the restroom. Because we checked in late, we had to use a kiosk to get our key, so we could not get more towels until the following day. Then, prior to reserving a room, I called the hotel to verify check out was at 11 am. After I reserved the room, I received an email also stating checkout was at 11 am. However, the day of the checkout, housekeeping knocked at the door, claiming check out was at 10 am and made my nieces and daughter leave. Unfortunately, I had already left, otherwise I would have shown the housekeeping the email that provided the checkout time. If checkout is at 10 am, then the hotel needs to update its information with hotels.com.

Overpriced for poor quality

Checkin was unpleasant due to very impersonal machine in doorway entrance which was poorly lit and signed. When sharing this with girl at front desk she shrugged it off. Room was disappointing. No place to hang anything. Entrance door had huge gap on bottom. TV picture quality was terrible and only 3 or 4 channels. Walkways leading to rooms were dirty and had a curious white powder strewn about. Grounds unkempt. On the positive side, the restaurant food and service was excellent.

Getting to the motel was not easy. Upon registration , you need to drive to the actual room building. As soon as you enter the building, it had a weed smell all across the common areas. The bathroom toilet tank had a broken cover which made us a bit uncomfortable with plumbing situation, we did not have any issues though. It did not have enough linens for the number of occupants listed in the reservation. Upon requesting, no one came to deliver it.

I had a reservation at the Grand Canyon Inn for 2 nights. We drove to the motel room, 100ft away, and our room was more dilapidated than words can explain. The toilet needed cleaning ( and a flush..yikes!), the bathtub was stained and its faucet was leaking. We found the maid service and asked if he could clean the bathroom, hoping it was all fixable. While he cleaned, we found there was not enough lighting ( 2 small lanterns), the room door wouldn’t close properly and the TV wouldn’t work. But the worst of all these concerns was the AC. There was a giant gap closed temporarily by a bath towel ( see pic). This is definitely a safety concern and fire hazard !!!! Meanwhile, the toilet bowl was cleaned, the maid announced with the brush dripping on to the room floor. The bath tub couldn’t be fixed, he said and to go talk to reception. We drove to the main Inn, showed them pics of the condition of the room and asked for a refund. We were told, no refunds but we could email the manager, who was not on site. We waited for almost 2 hours, instead of visiting the Grand Canyon , in the lobby of the Inn, to hear, through the Kiosk receptionist, the decision of the mysterious manager. We were given another room, also in the motel in not much better condition than the previous one. We decided to spend our nights elsewhere, and left. I expected a certain base standard to be maintained for a motel/hotel/lodge listed on Expedia. We were charged $225 a night, this place is not worth $40

Nice room with a comfortable bed, but quite noisy. It sounded like the upstairs neighbours were going to fall through the roof, not particularly conducive to sleep. The cold tap was hot and the hot tap was cold in the shower as well, and the coffee maker didn’t work.
