Great hotel minutes from St. Mark’s Square

Hotel in a great location in Venice, just minutes from St. Marks Square. The hotel staff was friendly and offered us a tour of the Murano glass factory. It was a fun experience. Breakfast was excellent too!

Our train got delayed 2 hours and there gentleman at check in was externally kind and helpful — he let us go enjoy our reservation for the Basilica and he took care of check in for us and even brought our luggage to the room while we were away! First time ever that a hotel upgraded us room willingly for being an Expedia Gold member. Amazing few. EXCELLENT location literally 2 steps away from San Marco. Will come back again! A

Lovely place to stay in Venice

Had such a great time in Venice! Our room was so cute and clean. It was also in a great location to be able to walk anywhere from the train station, and to different restaurants, stores, and attractions!

Wonderful hotel - highly recommended :)

Great place to stay…fantastic location, just round the corner from St Mark’s Square. Lovely breakfast, good selection of hot and cold food. Room was very comfortable, clean and great condition - upgraded from classic double. Staff all friendly and super helpful. Would definitely recommend and would stay again if back in Venice.

The place has got old world charm with friendly staff and excellent location. They provide complementary afternoon tea which was a novelty for us & the Indian girl who worked at that time was very polite to all the guests taking care of everyone. Our bathroom had been renovated which worked well despite dated nature of property. Only issue we felt was the lack of sound proofing otherwise it’s an excellent option for a few nights in Venice.

I was there for one night on 12/29 with my daughter. The location is perfect, and for one night, it was doable. However, the bed was very hard and the room was very stuffy without any ventilation. I called the front desk to ask about AC and was told that it’s illegal for them to turn on the AC in winter. Again, for just one night, the location was perfection.

We had an excellent stay at the Hotel Montecarlo. Location is perfect. Literally a minute walk from the hotel and you are in St Marks Square. Very close to the sights of Venice and the water bus stop is less than 10 minutes away. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. A nice touch was the afternoon tea which was all included as well as the breakfast. A good selection for all tastes. The hotel building is full of character in keeping with the city. The room was comfortable and charming. We would definitely stay here again.
