The pillows were awful, hard I wake up with a headache I need feather pillows which I get where I stay in Milan. Also small things make a difference, such as hand/body cream with hand soap in the bathroom, a small rack in the shower to put shampoo, etc. rather than on the floor and a large bottle of water in thebedroom. We had all of these in Milan which we really appreciated. It all adds to the experience.

My eyes watered as I entered the room, it stank of curry. The smell was overpowering, I couldn’t breathe. Immediately returned back to the reception and asked to another room. They said they were fully booked and couldn’t move me. I had no choice to to find an alternative hotel. I paid in advance and was refused a refund - lost £180.00.

A real surprise

Out of all the hotels we booked for our travels around Northern Italy, this is probably the one we considered to be the most "basic". Well, we were wrong. This place ended up being our favourite hotel we've been to. Super modern, large bathroom with an amazing shower, comfortable bed and a decent sized TV (for hiding from the midday 40 degree sun!). We plan to revisit Verona, and will probably stay here again!
